BMW India today announced the opening of Infinity Cars’ new facility in Lalbaug, Mumbai. Based on the latest BMW ‘Facility Next’ concept, the new outlet offers aftersales services and BMW Premium Selection (BPS) with an enhanced digital interface.
BMW India has delivered 45 BMW cars to The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts so that guests of these premium hotels will experience modern luxury in the latest BMW cars during their stay. These luxury premises’ have been updated with the BMW 7 Series, the BMW 5 Series, and the BMW X5 to offer the best-in-class comfort and safety.
As a result of the expansion of electromobility, the BMW Group is sourcing the cobalt it needs as a key raw material for battery cells, directly from a Moroccan mining company (Managem Group). With this order, the BMW Group will cover about a fifth of its cobalt needs for the fifth-generation of its electric drive trains. The company will source the remaining four-fifths of its cobalt requirements from Australia.
BMW Group India announced the opening of its new BMW Premium Selection (BPS) pre-owned facility in Bengaluru, that’s being hosted by Navnit Motors. This is the largest BPS facility in India which spreads across a total area of 7,500 sq. ft. with a 15 car display, sales lounge and customer lounge. It is also strategically located at Sonnappana Halli Bethahalasoor Post on the New Airport Road, for better accessibility.
While ‘Service Inclusive’ is BMW Group India’s range of transparent service packages that cover maintenance, inspection and wear-and-tear, ‘Repair Inclusive’ takes care of standard warranty extension. What’s nice is that existing customers can also purchase the ‘Service Inclusive’ package. An important highlight of ‘Service Inclusive’ deal is that once the validity is over, customers still have up to 15 months to renew or extend the package, by only paying the differential amount.
An important feature of ‘Easy Start’ plan is the upto 40 percent lower EMIs for the first 2.5 years (over the standard offer). Combined with a provision of zero percent down-payment, this is extremely beneficial as the customer’s financial commitment remains low for a significant period.
These hygiene packages are optimally tailored to care for the car’s cabin materials, while also being able to clean them gently. Which also means that these easy-to-use products can be used by the customers themselves. As for the hygiene packages themselves, three types have been launched.
BMW claims that consumers can once again safely explore and experience the complete range of BMW and Mini products at dealerships pan India. The company disclosed that production at the plant in Chennai has resumed with less than 50 percent of the regular workforce in order to cater to the local demand.
While production at the Chennai plant will currently start with a single shift and less than 50 percent of the regular workforce, all other employees will continue to work from home. Going forth, deployment of staff will be steadily adjusted depending on how the pandemic situation develops.
