| Most Helpful Review | Hardcore off-roader The buying experience of the Force Gurkha in Gurugram was a smooth one. The personalised attention to detail made the buying experience feel like a proper event. While driving through the chaos of Gurugram city, the Gurkha is a "lane clearer" on the roads of Golf Course Extension Road. Sitting eye-level to the bus driver and the G-Wagon-like stance commands instant respect. On the highway to Manali, the Gurkha is a relaxed cruiser driving at a leisurely 90km/h. However, the boxy shape of the Gurkha makes it noisy on the highway. The 2.6L diesel engine is where the Gurkha truly excels on the Himalayas. The low-end torque is immense. Near Solang Valley, engaging the manual locking differentials—the "Brahmastra"—helped traverse through the mud that would have stalled any other SUV. Though the basic interior and gear shifts are a workout in the traffic of Cyber City, the captain seats are a blessing. The servicing costs are low due to the Mercedes-derived mechanicals. However, the servicing network is still low. | Just drive and you will know... Outstanding... I'm speechless. This car offers you a great feel that you are in a smart off-roader with 5 doors, providing the best experience for both the driver and rear passengers. There's so many accessories for aftermarket modifications and it's a well-designed car that you can use for daily rides or short and long trips. I think this car is not overpriced, you have to know this car is 4×4. |
