I bought my Tata Zest exactly one year back and have driven 10000 km both in the city and on long drives. I have to admit that I am completely satisfied with this car. The after sales service of Tata Motors has also improved significantly at least with Corcorde Motors in Mumbai. In one of the long drives I had an accident. Corcorde Motors helped me with the insurance claim and did a very satisfactory job of the repair.

The best part of Tata Zest is the spacious interior, which puts it well ahead of Swift Desire. The second best feature is the three modes of driving, eco, city and sport. For regular driving I always use the eco mode, but on busy highways the sports mode really comes handy.

On long drives I get 17 km/l. In the city of Mumbai with stop and go traffic I get between 9-10 km/l.

Overall I cannot think of a better car at this price.

 Exterior looks awesome, projector headlamps are really good and helpful for night drive.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Interior gives a rich feel. The whole ambience is very comfortable. Lot of feature are available at your disposal and useful too. Ample of space for 3 in rear, so much so 4 thin creature can also fit in. Ride quality is very comfortable. Because of bigger wheels, bad roads are not of much concern.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine is responsive. With petrol I am withdrawing 15kmpl, but without A/C in use. Gear shifts are smooth, almost effortless.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Very impressive. Need not worry too much about bad roads, fun to drive.

Final Words

 I am thoroughly impressed with the car. The money I have paid, is worth spending. I am enjoying the ride everyday.

Areas of improvement  

 Only that Tata Motors needs to improve on Customer Care and dealing with them. I got the car after 33 days of my booking the car, though I was promised 3 weeks.

 Comfort Seat, Great space. A/C is average. Awesome one. Bottle holder on the door would perfect

 Performance is great @ highway. Fuel economy deccent and Gearbox average

 Well balanced car. You will feel the smoothnees when even your cross 120.

Style, Comport, Performance in HighwaysNeed to imporve service center engineers knowledge

Tata Product wise do not have any grivance but the way I have been treated with Tata Dealer Coincorder Motors Mohan cooperative New Delhi is very SAD. They ahve chetated me. They have taken more than 60K extra and taken my old card is just Rs 19000 while the time of booking commited for 45000/-. I trust them and given money in advance but I am very sorry to say DON"T trust them and never go to this SHOWROOM and don't go to even any Concorde Dealer network better to go with other dealer.

My old car ( Indiac Zeta Petol with CNG) was just 86000 Run and Tires with tubless. Single handed CAR.

Tata Zest is good CAR, Comfortable good Interoiur and Music system. Gear BOX is not too smooth while comparing with other make like Hundai.

On service don't have experince as its first service is due in coming 2 months.

Exterior Good. I like the design and style. Its preety better as compare to other Sedan in this segmant. I like the overall design, the fabric of seat etc.

Note: Met cover, seat cover and other accessories wouldnt be provided by Tata so, do purchase it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good, I like the harmon speaker, space and seat are very comfortable. Harmon infomaint is x-factor and it feels great that you have all control on steering.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Poor. I would say worst. Today, I just run for 1 hr and gas started to corome from bumper and then I called tata motor for assitance. They shared me complaint-id and when I called back after 40 mns they ask me to complain again. Their support reach very late and then they just open bumper and said it happen as you ride on hand brake. I am very disaapointed with their response.

Ride Quality & Handling I dont know the Reason behind sport as when you switch the mode there is only marignal difference. city mode is normal which all car segmant has and in eco your engine create some noise which I DONT LIKE!!!

Final Words Wont recommend to purchase it. My personal expereince.

Good design and interiorsEngine- I just run for 1000 km and it is heated up and air started to come from bumper. Poor service

Exterior It is ok. I mean, you can see how it is except that I have lost wheel caps 3 times by driving 25,000 kms.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Bad - Gives me a 7 kml average. The build of the car is bad. It almost functions like an ambassador. Very very bad car overall. There is a constant petrol smell in the car. I plan to sell it very soon. Petrol smell, bad AC are my reasons to sell it.

Final Words I have it since 2 years. Want to sell the car. I wish I never bought it. 

Areas of improvement ALL. Please become better at servicing. Service centres are bad. I regret buying this car to a large extent. Wish I never made this purchase. Tata really needs to up their game. The car functions like an ambassador and trust me I have maintained it well. I am almost begging whoever is reading this to not buy Tata.

Delivery Day 20th July 2016,

Concorde Prabhadevi office had arranged small cake cutting ceremony and overall make happy customer at Delivery Date finally.

As I am driving car nearly daily since delivery date to till date ODO 2000 km in initially days of ownership we are very happy on our decision also there is no niggles observe so far.

Thinks what I like

-          Suspension do their job silently can handled Mumbai pot holes without passing to us.

-          Car have lot of space tons of space. 5 people can easily fit. Recently while on shot trip car was accommodate 4 people on back seat.

-          Chilling AC cannot say more as this is monsoon days in Mumbai yet to experience summer.

-          Design: Beauty lies with person eye, but every time I park my “Red Zest XM RT” I look her back automatically.

-          Electric power steering which feels very light at parking speed gives comforts and became sufficient heavy at higher speed, excellent job from Tata.

-          Quality of interior plastic as per my view if feel it is premium in XM model and price I have paid for car.

-          Harman Music system is icing on cake.

-          Car Colour quality looks premium.

-          Ground Clearance is very good I had driven car in Mumbai flooded area while heavy raining with no issue.

-          Mileage: cumulative mileage with mix I got 12.5 kmpl ( Eco mode 70%, City mode 30% with heavy traffic condition).

-          Just for experiment from Office to Home ( on Saturday relatively very less traffic ) 17 KM drive I got mileage of 18.4 kmpl (100% Eco mode without  AC MID reading  ) route Jahangir Art Gallery – Free way – Wadala – Chunabhatti, on same route around 17 km drive I got mileage 19.2 kmpl (100% City mode without AC MID reading) on Saturday.

-          I think after run in period and oil change my mileage will improve as initial runs mileage on MID showing 8 kmpl which further improve to 12.5 kmpl.

Best in compact sedan. looks premium. Good looking Sedan with good quality.

 Interior is nice as compare the price level, it gives premium  feel.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 I am writing this review after 10 months use. On highways I got milage with AC around 18 and in city 15 with AC (Consider Pune city traffic ), If I took average, its 16.5 and I m happy with it.

Ride Quality & Handling

 suspension is too good. But it gives bit low pick in 2nd gear.

 Good car with loaded features in nice price. before to buy I heard many -ve things about TATA. Specially service and all. But I didn't feel anything wrong in last 10 months. If your budget is between 6 to 7, this is best choise. It performs like high end Car. No one gives you ABS, EBD and such a premium look with performance in this price. Go for it.

Comfort, value for moneypickup

Me and my father wanted a good looking family car with all basic nessecities. We researched a lot and after taking test drive of dzire, xcent, amaze, aspire and zest , we ended up selecting zest and believe me it was the best decision ever! The car is awesome! we have driven about 6000 kms mostly in delhi city. In city we are getting a mileage of around 14 kmpl. driven mostly on city mode. power delivery of this car is very good and lenient. Overtaking on highways will require little gear work and there you go. Car is really spacious and comfortable for long journeys! AC is very powerful and never dissapoints you. Car is heavier than other competetives thus is more stable on high speeds. 150 kmph on this car is easily achieveale and i guess it can go max upto 165 kmph. Thats enough for a family sedan. Central console is the best in the segment which is devoloped by HARMAN. MUsic quality is far better than other cars. We are enjoying our car in very best manner you can say! Consider zest for your next buy. It won't dissapoint you!Almost every thing is as good as u need! Style, economy, VFM, performance.Some plastic parts feel a little cheap! But very few!
