Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Good quality plastic, rich interiors, best segment first harman infotainment system with 4 speakers, 4 tweeters, Fully automatic climate control, touch screen, voice recognition, steering mounted control, Bluetooth connectivity, speed sensing auto door locks, seat belt reminder, driver seat height adjustment, tilt steering, steering auto return function with Epas, comfortable shoulder rug by sheets, power windows and remote locking with foldable key.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Engine performance impressive, I have driven 650 Km in single stretch with 100% AC, average speed of 80km/hr I have managed 22Km/l.

Ride Quality & Handling

Ride quality is very good and handling is very smooth.

 

Final Words

It is the best sedan in this segment and VFM vehicle. on roads observed everybody is interstingly watching vehicle. some examples iam quoting here.

1) while filling fuel petrol bunk lot of other vehicle owners enquiring.

2) while ordering seat covers and accessories shop owner interestingly enquiring.

3) Iam following school bus to overtake in bus small kids quoting loudly super car.

4) Till date I have competed 1500 Kms in 10 days period without any problems and any negative comments from my well wishers, colleagues , friends and neighbours.

Iam proud to be owner of Tata Zest QJT XT red colour.

 

 

 

 

 

Areas of improvement  

 

Nil, why some customers are quoting facing some problems I am sorry for that but this problems are not applicable to overall tata zest cars rinning on road. Tata customer care service for zest is very responsive hope they will resolve those issues shortly.

Amazing performance.. Stereotype of sound system made of JBL brand... Totally car was amazing at our budget. TATA has launched an wonderful best in class in sedan segment...& the comfort line of this car is really a part which we have to discuss in whole variants.. & that secret switch for DRL's is really an awesome thing in XT comfort line segment...

I got millage to 30 KM/L while driving from Chittorgarh to Udaipur airport. It is very comfortable reminds me of Ambassador car. I have covered 88000 Km within 5 years and absolutely without any trouble. Good head space and ground clearance for Indian roads. Of course timely service as per schedule. One constraint no space for water bottle and travel kit. Rear Tray is too small.

Exterior GOOD LOOKING BUT THE  NO GUARENTY ON THE COLOR QUALITY, ITS EXTERNAL FINISHING  IS NORMAL.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) NO BOTTLE HOLDER INSIDE THE CABIN,AC IS GOOD, BUT A REAR A.C VENT NOT THERE.TWO HEAD REST IN REAR SEAT. NO CD PLAYER & GPS SYSTEM IN HERMAN CONNECT TO NEXT SYSTEM. NO CAMERA IN PARK ASSIT OF HARMEN SYSTEM. ONE REAR WIPER ON REAR GLASS. STEERING IS SMOOTH.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox ENGINE IS NOISY, PERFORMANCE IS GOOD, FUEL ECONOMY IN LOCAL IS 18 KM & IN LONG IS 20KM, GEARBOX IS SMOOTH.

Ride Quality & Handling GOOD ,AS IT IS NEW HANDLING PROBLEM NOT ARISED TILL TO-DAY.

Final Words ALL SHOULD GO FOR IT AS TATA IS COMMING UP.

WIPER IN REAR GLASS. THREE HEAD REST IN REAR SEAT.

Zest has very attractive interiors. With projector Lamps, Day time running lights and LED backlight, it is beautiful.

Smae is true with interiors. Excellent space, both at front and back, Driver's seat height adjustment, Auto climate control and excellent music system, it too good.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Too Good. After driving 7500+ Kilometers, I am really happy with the performance. In city Conditions, my car gives me a mileage of 20+KMPL and on Highways its performance has been OUTSTANDING. I routinely get a mileage 25+ kmpl that include traffic holds and driving in hills. I got best mileage of 27.7 kmpl on Delhi-Chandigarh Highway.

 ZEST has excellent Ride Quality & Handling is so smooth. I have driven the car in Hilly areas with steep narrow roads. 

 I am really really happy with the performance of ZEST. Touchwood.

 

I don't know Tatas bottle holders in the cabin. Another area of improvement is mud/dust getting into engine compartment.

Exterior Good Looks, Day Running Lights, Rear distinct Tail lights, BMW Ring Lights, Body curves all blend in very perfectly to give a real good looks to the car from the exterior. Height for seating is the biggest advantage in terms of night road visibility.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Harman music system is the best in class in terms of sound and music, Automatic Climate Control best in terms of cooling and performance. Tata has always been well known for cabin space and zest proves it once again...Seats and comfortable with the driver seat having height adjustment for ease in visibility as an d when needed... Rear seat is the best in comfort and seating. ECON feature in AC is best venture in terms of economy.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is THE best in class. Quadrajet 90Ps. power on the go as and when needed. No complaints as of now from engine in terms of noise and performance. Engine never feels like tired or dull and is always ready to deliver more. Gearbox feels a litle sludgy in terms of shifts in traffic.

Feul Economy is best on long drives. Ranges from 24-30KMPL when driven constantly at eco speeds. City Fuel Economy is 20KMPL overall descent economy vehicle.

Ride Quality & Handling Suspension is good, Due to CSC maneovering turns at high speeds feels confident. Overall driving quality is good due to height and comfortable seats.

Final Words Overall a good car woth for money in sedan segment. Cool features at a cool price. One car which gives a good driving pleasure and economy with all great features.

Areas of improvement Gears could be more softer for good shifting comfort in traffic. May be I have just driven 4000 kms so gears must be hard....hoping gears become softer for comfortable city drive.

Exterior

 One of the most well rounded Tata Cars ever! The Humanity Line that runs from the front to all the way back gives it a more aerodynamic look. The doors have a nice and reassuring "Thud" sound. The wheels are large and give the car an aggressive stance with a much needed ground clearance. The boot look very well integrated. The front grille is shaped like Vista. But thats where the resemblance stops. The looks butch and tough. Almost gives u a feeling that it can go anywhere!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It is the most featurich car in this segment.The dashboard is the best in this segment. You can almost forget that its a tata car until you are remined by the big logo on the steering wheel. The quality is unlike any Tata car I have ever experienced. The fit and finish, the quality of materials used is a notch above the competition and a huge leap forward in comparision to other tata cars.

The Harman Infotainment System is a treat! It has no CD changer but it has the usual pendrive and aux plus, it has a card reader! The voice recognition system works amazingly well!

I have done 19,000 kms in 1&half years. The driving position is commanding and comfortable. The visibility is great. The seats are very comfortable and almost cocoon you. Rear seats can easily accomodate 3 average sized people. 

The Glove box is decent in terms of accessibility and capacity. The interior though could have been more practical as the storage options are very limited and there are no bottle holders in the doors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It is a trusted and time tested Fiat Quadrajet Engine. It is very refined and quite frugal. There is a mild turbo lag but its lesser than any car in this segment. Once you cross 1500rpm, it comes alive! Its quite responsive. The drive is peppy and fun. The anti roll bars are very confidence inspiring and you can go into the turns at high speeds. The suspensions are very good and allow a nice and firm driving experience.

The shifter is short and smooth. You can switch through gears very easily!

The fuel economy is quite respectable as i got 14-15kmpl in city driving and 20kmpl on the highways.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is outstading! Very confidence inspiring car. On cruising speeds, the engine becomes silent an the car hugs the road very well. 

Final Words At this price, the car more than satisfies the owner. Its a huge improvement over any car Tata has produced till date!

The power-assisted steering is an awesome adition.

I would recommend this car to anyone looking to buy a car under this segment. I test drove Dzire, Amaze, Xcent and none could match the overall experience.

Areas of improvement As the car is near perfect, I have to be nitpicky in terms of areas of improvement.

The front could have been more unique. Turbo lag can be eliminated.

Ride Quality, Suspension, Infotainment SystemMild resemblance to Vista, Interiorstorage

Exterior Having good exterior with robustic view. Poor Head Light performance on highway mainly on High beam position. Poor visibility for dark/ without tell lamp vehicle ahead of 200 mtrs.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Should be redign Dashboard and door pocket which are without bottle holder and unutilised space ( no much space for mobile charging and other gazetts to keep at dashborad. Harmen infotainment system should be upgarde with GPRS system and with cd/dvd player, performance of sound system is good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine with good performance with good feul economy with 16-17 per/litre in city and 20-23 per/litre on highway. Smooth shifting of gears even after 30000 km of run.

Ride Quality & Handling Overall good on road and rough road or off road also.

Final Words Better stuffed in all aspect with some odds to be check & upgarde.

Areas of improvement Head Light Visibilty at busy highway, Herman system already loaded with GPS system and CD/ DVD Player.

OVERALL EXTERIOR AND SPACIOUS INTERIORPOOR HEAD LIGHT AND DASH BOARD DESIGN

Exterior It looks beautiful, Fresh and lovely. Paint quality is superb. Front and back side lights look very nice. Build quality is tough and superior.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It has far superior interior then any one can expect in this segment. It has world class infotainment system by harman. amazing music quality. Very much comfortable seats. it is very much specious inside. Very good head room as well as leg room. It has very good bootspace also. Interior plastic quality is very good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 1.3 Lit MJD powerful engine. Fuel economy I got 21.7KM per Lit .Gear Shift is smooth. It has ABS and EBD. Powerful Break.

Ride Quality & Handling It has Excellent ride quality. Sterring wheel is very much responsive. you will have fun to drive. superior dirvability.

Final Words It is an excellent car in its segment. Tata has worked very hard to design and manufacture the ZEST.

Areas of improvement I wish it has 4.4Mtr length and 1800MM width.
