Volkswagen Vento with revised headlamp cluster spotted testing

A Volkswagen Vento with a revised headlamp cluster has been spotted on test. Pictures show a split lamp design with LED DRLs which made its debut in India with the facelifted Jetta. This is in essence the global design found on most VW models.

While reports suggest that these LED DRLs will be a part of the 2016 MY update, our sources have told us that there are currently no plans to introduce such an option for the Indian market. It then seems possible that this may be a test vehicle for a foreign market model.

However, if such an option is introduced for the Indian market, it is likely to be OEM accessory and will be offered only on the top-spec models.  Apart from the LED DRLs this looks exactly like the 2015 MY facelift that was introduced in June. This update included a new fascia as well as some updates to the cabin.
