The second generation of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour is now available at Rs 5.24 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 5.99 lakh for the diesel model (ex-showroom Delhi). This Dzire Tour is based on the outgoing second generation Dzire and is aimed at continuing the Indo-Japanese automaker’s presence in the fleet market.
Aimed at the fleet market, this car (both in petrol and diesel trims) sports the barer minimum feature list of power windows, air conditioning and dual tone beige and black interiors. The detailed instrument cluster of the second generation Dzire has been modified and now gets a large digital display for the trip meters. On the outside, there is no chrome package and the standard car gets black bumpers but can be painted to the body colour for an additional amount.
The petrol version is powered by the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine producing 83bhp/115Nm while the diesel is the 1.3-litre Multijet engine producing 75bhp/190Nm. Both are offered only with a five-speed manual.
This second generation Dzire Tour will go head-to-head with Hyundai’s Prime programme which will see the pre-facelift Grand i10 and Xcent being pressed into service for the fleet market and ride sharing services.
