MG Motor India has revealed that the Hector has received over 10,000 bookings in India within 23 days of commencing the bookings for the SUV. Priced between Rs 12.18-16.88 lakhs (ex-showroom India), MG Hector is the first ‘Internet SUV’ in India. It offers over 50 internet connectivity features via the iSmart system.
MG Motor India is offering an industry-first standard warranty of five years/unlimited kilometres on the Hector. And under the MG Shield program, the mid-size SUV also comes with five years/unlimited kilometres RSA (roadside assistance) with medical backup, maintenance plans and much more.
With the Hector, MG has left no stone unturned. The SUV has been priced competitively, and with the kind of features and quality materials it has on offer, the competitors will, sure, have a tough time ahead.
Further, the Hector is available with four engine/gearbox combinations. The 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor is offered across six-speed manual and DCT transmissions, while the Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine can be had with a six-speed manual gearbox. There’s also a 48V mild-hybrid motor that pairs with the 1.5-litre petrol mill and offers an additional 20Nm. It is available with a manual gearbox for now.
