Gautam Singhania has bagged another podium finish at the 2015 Ferrari Challenge Europe Championship, this time in Budapest, Hungary. This comes hot on the heels of him securing a double podium finish at the same championship that started in April 2015 at Monza, Italy.
Gautam secured a historic podium finish at the Ferrari event by finishing second in his category - Coppa Shell in Race 1 and had also qualified second earlier in the day. He raced with Kessel Racing, which has registered numerous wins and has an exhaustive experience under its belt. Andrea Motermini, former F1 driver and current GT driver, is his coach for the entire season.
Gautam Hari Singhania, said, "It is a proud moment for me to secure a podium finish at the third round of this prestigious Ferrari event. It has been a great start for me this weekend and I have set my sights on the Championship and World Finals 2015."
The Ferrari Challenge Europe Championship 2015 started in April 2015 and is also endorsed by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). Comprising of 15 races in all with two races a weekend, this season is spread over six weekends. These races will be conducted mainly at Italy (Monza, Imola and Mugello), France (Le Castellet), Spain (Valencia) and Hungary (Budapest). All these races will culminate into to the world finals, which will consist of three races in December this year. One race is together with the other two regions of Asia and North America, where the grid will consist of about 40-50 cars.
