Auto Expo 2014 to be the biggest ever auto show in sub-continent

The biennial Auto Expo held in India will get bigger this time and will host a lot of firsts this time. The show, this year, will get a few more value additions along with automobile and component launches.

The Twelfth Edition of the expo will exhibit simulators, stunt shows, safety driving programs and ride-on-electric vehicles which can be experienced by showgoers. While this might sound interesting, it has been a prominent feature in auto shows worldwide. 

The shift in the venue from Pragati Maidan to India Expo Mart in Greater Noida has offered a larger area to house more stalls and the extras. The allotted area has grown by 45 per cent at 64,000 sq metres as compared to 44,000 sq metres in 2012. A total of over 70 car launches will happen out of which 15 global launches, in comparison, a total of only 47 are were seen in 2012. 

The number of global launches and the increase of manufacturer participation from 35 in 2012 to 47 in 2014, makes it the largest auto show ever hosted in the sub-continent.
