General Motors India Ltd. is all set to take the Beat sales war to the next level with the introduction of the Chevrolet Beat LPG. After a significant amount of success with their Spark LPG, the Beat LPG will be quite a significant product since the earlier dual-fuel king, the Wagon R Duo (LPG) is no longer available and the new Wagon R doesn't have an LPG option yet. We are told the LPG variant is quite peppy to drive with no performance loss at all.
General Motors may just have the edge when they launch the car in the next couple of months and can bite into a significant chunk of the dual-fuel LPG market since people are looking for cheaper and cleaner fuel options. So with trendy & sharp styling and with the dual-fuel LPG option soon, it will help keep the tempo on the Beat sales momentum. For those looking for the oil-burner option, the Chevrolet Beat diesel will only be out towards the end of the first quarter next year.
