Bajaj Auto recently said that the company plans to enter the commercial and domestic four wheeler market by 2012. Bajaj is expected to use the Renault platform to enter the segment. This four wheeled light commercial vehicle (LCV) might be made to fit into the RE brand of three wheelers but the domestic vehicles will be marketed under a separate segment.

Currently, Bajaj has an agreement with Renault Nissan in the Ultra Low Cost Car Project. Bajaj Auto will design and develop the product while sales and distribution will be taken care by Renault and Nissan.
