Look of Car is Very Good. Leg Room Good. Boot space not so good. Engine vibration spoils your driving pleasure on any signal or slow driving.Once you switch on AC it vibrates like old deisle engines of 70s.

Steering you can have the feel of stepper motor.Ride quality is good if you are driving it at 50-60kmph without AC.Otherwise you can sense that this veichle is three cylinders  based design like Maruti 800.

Final Words.From day one i have been reqesting Maruti for all what I have written above.Engineers from Gurgaon visited Chandigarh during warranty period and they said this problem is there in all the vehicles so this gives the impression that there is some problem in design or RPM is kept on lower side to improve the average.

Areas of improvement  Redesign engine keeping city driving in mind.Indicators switch release is not happening on round abouts where one has to use indicator twice. Quality of paint on side bars on rear doors paint vanishes after 4-5 months.Blind spot on right side.Noise from rear seat on left side.

A small Car never gives you luxury of a Sedan or durability like a SUV, its made for small family & city ridding, it fullfills all of them, all what your kids like to have... I am happy the way it is...

It is cool looking nice machine. Its look is stunning. It looks very spacious. Ride quality is excellent. Handling is superb. Comes with great fuel efficiency. In todays economy fuel efficiency is very important and must for all of us. Only small problem is boot space. For big families with long run with lots of luggage it is not suitable car. But we all know it is in small car category not in big car category like innova, scorpio. So for small family it is first choice.

i taken test drive very good pick up good interior fitted excellent cd player and also air bags as security feature i will definetely go for this car.already i m driving maruti alto.but in A STAR kya baat hai.it is very good family car,it is aspirationanal car 2009.

I have taken the test drive the A-Star last week and ffound that the car runs very smooth & also the handling of thecar is supurb. The interiors are very attractive specially dash board ( new style with in build music syatem in ZXI). Also the remote key in ZXI model looks stunning & is some thing new in small cars in India.

AS far as fule economy is concerned the company is claming 19.5 KM/Ltrs. I enjoid the drive in the car & have booked the same.

This car is future of INDIA. Great job Maruti Suzuki.

I was in search of small but powerful car A Star is better then my expectations.We need not to shift gears frequently even in city drive as you can drive it from 20-60kmph  in any of 1st to 4th gear. Highway and hill road drive is also very comfortable, thanx to the new engine with great pickup. Noise of engine is a bit on higher side may be because of 3 Cylender engine. Boot may be problem if going on long tour.

Overall good value for 4 Lac

A perfect blend of sytle and performance, this car not only promises but also yields an exceptional fuel economy.  Space may be a constraint for them who love to sit on the rear seats with a chauffer driving the car. For self drivers, bachelors and young couples, this car is just a bliss. I have had a personal experience of a 15+ km of fuel effeciency as compared to my existing zen which was giving just around 10. Other wonders are turning radius, powerful AC, gear shifting, etc. My highest speed on the car was 140km and I could not even feel it.

Bachelors, and young couple, dont even think twice before making a buy if you're planning for this car.

Exterior superb.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good features. less space at the back and boot. still a comfortable one. Ac is very good. tachometer is also very helpful.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Superb engine performance, fuel economy is good, gear box is very smooth gear is like makhan.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride quality, handling is also very convenient u can easily go on a long drive with ur loved ones n njoy.

Final Words I am satisfied and happy with my luuuuuv i.e,,A STAR ZXI . one can go for this car witout any second thought.i recommend it to everyone. i drove it continuously for six hours nearly 350 kms at a stretch n i diddn't find any problem even at a speed of 120 kms. i m a little disappointed with its mileage which I get 15 to 17.

Areas of improvement leg room at the back n boot space needs to be improvved.

Exterior Fine, but if you see the car from far and side, the design ends suddenly towards the rear side, gives an impression that the designer was in hurry to finish the car design and suddenly scrapped out the rear design and had cut it instantly. From front it looks cool. From behind it looks fine, but from sides it gives impression that a part of the vehicle is missing.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Not so bad but not so good also. Rear side seats have very less margin for people to sit. A person with 6 - 7 Feet height cannot sit on rear seat for sure. His knees would pain a lot. Vehicle is not for Tall guys. Driver seating is good. Dashboard and the Gear are all in very much accessible positions for driver. head room for the driver is nice but not for the others specially for tall persons sitting on rear seat. power window and locks work nice but the speed of raising the window glass is too slow. a "Steering Wheel Spinner/Knob" is must for the driver to drive this vehicle in the city as the elbow gets bangs quite often with driver side door panels while making U turns and sharp turns. "NO BLUETOOTH SUPOORT FOR MUSIC SYSTEM" secondly it is difficult to arrange the same. dealers ask for very good amount to do this which is not expected from Maruti. Boot space is less due to design issues like you can’t put a normal "CHECK-IN" size trolley in the Boot area. a cabin trolley would occupy the half of the area of the same. the hatchback door / backside dickey door does not give good sound while closing it. it gives very low class bang sound while closing it. just like olden days inferior class cars. Overall vehicle features needed to be given a bit more attention and internal space is a problem for this vehicle.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Nice Work on the Engine. Though the engine is not even of 1000 CC presicely but the perfomance is quite appreciable. I drove the vehicle for approx 2000 kms in two and half days with highest speed of 150 kms/hr on some points of the journey. Vehicle did not show any engine issues and found to be quite stable. It gave me an average of 17 - 19 kms/liter on Petrol (Speed of BP) throughout the journey with Air conditioner switched on. Gearbox works nice and no hassle in switching form one gear to another. However it would be appreciable if Maruti improvise the engine to make it of 1200 CC which would easily defeat the i20 of Hundai.

Ride Quality & Handling Nice but need more space at least for driver side where the right elbow bangs quite often with the doors during U turns and sharp turns. Tires are fine but may be a bit bigger (Not Broader) wheel size would have given better look as well as comfort and mantle assurance to the driver... Handling is very nice especially when the steering spinner knob is used. brakes are good and life saving. works comparatively quickly. still bit bigger brake disks would have given better feel or safety assurance for the driver and riders.

Final Words 5 seater vehicles should be for 5 people. I bet that 5 people from punjabi or andhra family cannot sit in this vehicle properly. the vehicle is good for small height people. it’s basically a 4 seater or the vehicle is for a couple with one or two kids (a small nuclear family).

Overall, nice compact car with provision for maximum Two Kids sitting on the rear seat and not for 3 adults sitting on the rear seat.

Areas of improvement Design, it looks like the design was cut in between and the vehicle was made smaller in order to give a compact look. This gives an impression that some part of the vehicle is missing towards its rear side.

Wheels, Small for this vehicle, a bit bigger (not broader) wheels with bigger brake disks would give more acceptance level by the prospective owners.

Space, mainly due to design, Door Panels are required to give some sophistication as these make very bad bang sound while closing; these put the owners on inferior side of the impression as well as indicate low class of the car.

Exterior Front part is very sporty and cute. Back is completely new.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort Very comfortable than any other small car with in this price tag.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The best in its class. gear change is smooth like swift. 18 to 21 kmpl.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent like swift. simply we can call it as a small swift.

Final Words Can replace alto in the feature. But, name of the car is very old. change it to any two word name.

Areas of improvement Boot Space has to be improved without changing design. slight change of back design is recommended. now a days in india due to huge increase of small middle class families ( Father Mother and child) this is the best car..can replace alto in the feature.
