Exterior If we talk about exterior, it is quite unique and have sporty look. Sleek designing with great efforts.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Of course its interior is not so dashing like Hyundai hatchback cars but still it is with nice designing and development. I am with small family: includes, myself, my wife and my 5 years daughter, i found it quite handy, but of course when we talk about big family with mature members, i will rather keep my hand away from it.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its pickup is good, not like 1.2 diesel engine. It rocks and gives the quite smooth ride when i prefer to go for bit long drive in plain areas.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Overall in term of driving it give a quite comfort and confident in acceleration and control. Where as in parking it is quite handy with great torque.

 

Final Words I will suggest this car to the people having small family like my or to young blood; who likes sporty look and speed.

 

Areas of improvement If by somehow, a company can manage to expand its interior and leg space, i presume it can be a big revolution in auto world with its performance, gripping, average and sporty look.

 

Its speed, sporty look, fuel efficiency, gripping, and handling.Small leg space for rear, and its interior colour.

 

Exterior Good aerodynamic desgin. It has beetle like looks and it's sleek too. Feature I like most about its look in its front side view with unique slopy design and headlights.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is not super luxirious or eye cathching. It is descent enough to drive this gem car.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is smooth and 0 noise in city bumper to bumper traffic or on high ways. Gearbox is also easy to handle, but it is not that much easy which can give you pleasure of butter like feel.

 

Ride Quality & Handling I have been driving Astar 1+ year now. I find it medium pleasure and super economy car till the time. On highways it gives you best riding experience. It has very good ground clearance and its unique design allows you whrrroom on highways.

 

Final Words Best value for your money.

Exterior Looks good, has character, available in good colours.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Instrument display panel is well thought out. tachomater could have been available in vxi. front 2 seats are very comfortabe but, it's the rear seats which are totally cramped up. boot is very small. a tall person like me in the driver's seat and the people sitting in the rear would have a tough time sitting for long. plastic quality is ok.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very responsive engine, fuel economy can sometimes be of bother when you are pushing the car on highway for optimum performance. it's a driver's car, why would one not like to rip on highway?

Ride Quality & Handling Handles very well. side view can be of some problem at times. even the driver's perception is difficult to gauge at times.

Final Words Good car if you like to drive and have a tight budget.

Exterior CUTE AND YOUTHFUL. THE FRONT SIDE AND BACK SIDE OF THE CAR IS SUPERB.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) GOOD AMBIENCE. WELL UTILISED SPACE, AMPLE SPACE FOR THE FRONT SEATERS. AND ALSO GOOD SPACE FOR BACKSEATERS. IT'S A CITY CAR. SO WHY COMPLAIN BOOT SPACE??

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox SILENT, COOL, GOOD PICKUP, GOOD TURNING RADIUS ALL STANDS OUT IN IT'S CLASS.

Ride Quality & Handling I am a Manager. I have been using this car for the past one and half years. While I bought this car had done many studies on other in this segment. Hyundai's Santro and I10 were there in the market for so many years and tired of seeing this. A-Star has got looks, passion and youthful car full of energy. My self driving this car in busy city traffic and also in highways. Never got any power issue in slow speed and at high speed. And never felt the car is shivering. Car is fantastic in driving and also in comfor for inside the car.

EXTERIOR LOOKS, INTERIOR AMBIENCE AT THIS PRICE, A SUPER CITY CARNOT ANTYTHING

 

Exterior The awesome on body logo, aerodynamic body finish, Decent Rear finishing.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Decent AC, Good Audio system, Key reminder, Head lamp and Parking lamp reminder(Which prevents in Unknowing battery burnout), Power windows, Great driver headroom, Driver seat Height adjustable, Child lock facility, Enough luggage space(Not for long drives).

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is peppy when the AC is turned off. But decent when AC is on. Fuel consumption is reasonable, depends mostly on the gear shift and Usage of the accelerator. Smooth gearbox, with short shaft. Feels good when driving on Highways. Allows nice overtaking with out any discomfort of the gear shift.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent riding experience in its class. Handling is good even at high speeds.(Not above 100kmph)

Final Words This is a Perfect Small Family(2+2) Car. This shall be the car for the biginners, who want to upgrade from two wheeler to a car. It has got the essential features at a great quality.

Areas of improvement Rear Door Size shall be increased by moving the middle beam forward. Change of position of rear power window control.

Excellent styling, Driving pleasure in its class. Decent AC. Nice Music System.Rear door too tiny to enter, Rear door power window control is too hard to access.

 

I was about to book Alto K10, but ended up with A-Star

Exterior Sporty, solid look. For me its looks like a mini swift. Build quality is superior compared to Alto K10.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Prioritizes front seat occupants. Ample space for four adults.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Solid, Swift gear box, Min.14 kmpl Max.18 kmpl. Millege is better than Alto in city.

Ride Quality & Handling Its a mini swift, greate handling at high speeds.

Final Words Well suited for city commuting, at the same time solid Highway performance.

Understand the car, you can't complain about the space. It targeted at commuters, youngsters and small family. But people looking for a family hatch starts complaining about boot space and leg room. Its not the car for you, even maruti didn't intented to sell this to family audience. WagonR and Zen Estilo is there for them. People start to compare it with i10, even though the price is more or less equal they are made for different people. Its a perfect car for commuters, who dont carry their family all day. Its a good weekender too, if you know what it made for.

Exterior Very Good but it is very difficult to purchase one plastic part fitted adjoinin to side view mirror.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Power windows very good efficient

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth & Noise free engine,  very easy & smooth gear shift, fuel economy 17.3 (@ Speed 110, Non - AC) poor road and trafic conditions

Ride Quality & Handling Quite Healthy & Comfortable. shock absorver are working like High segment car.  It's ride can compare with SUV type vehicle.

Final Words I purchased it as used car and find it my dream car. I often use to drive it on long way.  I never felt any uncomfortable. It is really value for money.

Areas of improvement Boot space can be increased & rear seat space can be increased if possible.  Pillar of Driver's side obstract to view on right side through fron wind screen. Maruti can equiped this car (A Star, Vxi) with fog lamp, and four speakers.

Good fule economy 17.3 (non-AC) it's a used Car (2009)for Four persons only

Exterior When you take exterior part of this car, you find this car is perhaps best at this price range. In night when lights are on, you have a feel of some luxurious car coming, if seen from front side.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Zxi is packed with all features the only thing I have found wrong with this car is that the comfort level is not upto the mark, even is quite bad when on rear seat, as quite compact.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Here this car beats almost each of its rival (i10 the major one). Fuel economy is around 19, Gear box is quite smooth, performance of engine is amazing.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling of car at very high speed (140 and above) is perhaps best even in all maruti cars (Except SX4, SX4 is the best car of Maruti).

Final Words The car would have worked more if the space(rear) was taken care of by the designer, not only rear space, the luggage space is also very small.

If I am given 4 Lc and asked to buy a premier car, for making a fun, I would buy this car and shut those mouth. as this is the best car of Maruty, i emphasis after Sx4, though both cars are being less sold. What an irony with maruti. The car "Swift", which has nothing as comfort, security systems are concerned is best seller.

Good Fuel Economy, Great Handling at High Speed, Great Breaking SystemRear Space is not good, Plastic Quality

Exterior To be frank i didnt like this car when i first saw it bcos of the flat back. but my father was going to buy alto( not alto 800). then i started to do a study on marutis 1000cc cars(wagonR, estilo & A-star) compared to the first two i liked the A-stars look. then i learned it from various reviews that a-star is the best among the 3. So i persuaded my father somehow to buy this car, bcos i thought anyhow it will be better than wagonR and Zen Estilo.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Eventhough the back is little cramped the front seat is really spacious and good comfort for the front seat travellers. the back is okey only. the seating is really good. The AC i feel is good for normal use but cannot be compared with the i-10 bcos it has 1200cc engine.the head room is plenty and the front seats are bigger and confortable than i-10s. if u are a family of 4 then the cramped back seat is never going to be a pblm.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine  response is really nice bcos it is far better than alto(. guys who think that A-star is a modification of alto is wrong, u can feeel the difference when u drive it for a long time. The fuel economy in city will be only like 12-13(c'mon guys, u cannot expect more from a petrol car), but the highway mileage is the best u get marginally above 20 if u travel below 65kmph and 18-19kmpl when the speed is between 70-90kmph. I was extremely surprised with these figures and in spite of repeated checking I could find the same results. believing me guys the i-10 is a disastor in terms of mileage nd it reduces with age drastically.   i dont have any complaints with gearbox either.

Ride Quality & Handling If u are the one who drives the car in ur family more then u are gonna love this car for the excellent ride quality. the way it takes corner is wonderful. u dont even have to slow down, it takes turn nicely. i rate a-star even above swift in this regard.

Final Words If u are okey with the rear space and less boot space and if u want a car with decent mileage, extra-nice handling then go for A-star ar else go for i-10.
