Exterior Looks good, Nice 18" alloys, some traces of Audi Q7 to Hyundai santro.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It's actualy good, better headand sholder room than the Fortuner, All functional required instruments there. Wood trim is much like real wood. Feels like a raised car from inside.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Engine- Nothing like it. More powerful than a PRADO, I took it from 0-100 in around 8.5 sec, No engine noise till revs uptill 3500rpms. went upto 140 in 4th (It has 6 gears) and its far better than any other suv in the range. The engine is the most refined diesel ever producing 90 bhp per liter. It's slightly better than the X!. Not to forget the ESP which makes u feel safe at any road condition

Ride Quality & Handling Handles good, better than endy or fortuner. The 4wd unlike fortuner gives a confidance on road even at very high speeds. Ride quality not as great as CR-V(But after loading CRV has no ground clearence at all)

Final Words With only limited to sale(300 per month aroundour country), Its not going to be a sight ever corner like the fortuner now, So resales must be good. Do not judge the car before testdrive. I'm much of a power oriented person. And Search for Santa Fe's Off road videos on youtube, and also go through reviews from other country. And As per my calculations.

Its 1.6x price of endy but

it has 1.7 times power

1.6 times the safety

and 1.6 times driveable top speed

Areas of improvement At that price, i would atleast want a option of sun roof. Better Sales 300 a month, I'm waiting to book it for 4 months now.

Clutch Failure

Hi,

I own a santa fe 2011 feb model, a couple of weeks ago it broke down in the middle of the highway due to clutch failure. The vehicle has to be towed to the nearest showroom and they charged me Rs.50,000, saying the whole clutch assembly has to be changed. After some request they have put them partly in warranty and charged me thirty thousand. The vehicle has clogged 46000 kms and the latest service was done at 39000 kms. is this the quality of hyundai, I promised myself I will never buy a hyundai again.i want to know if this happens to every owner of a 25 lakhs hyundai car.

Now even the gearbox has a problem, I think the issue is common because they did not care much about this, they were only keen on charging me a lumpsome amount since I did not have a choice.

I regret buying a hyundai instead of bmw x1...

Exterior Good looking, style.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No comfort in middle seats and don't think abt back seats. Middle seats a/c vent's are waste.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gearbox is very very worst. I had a problem after 10,000 kms onwards. Now i want to change gearbox, cutch and entire thing just in 30,000 kms. It expected cost is min 1,00,000.

Ride Quality & Handling Jumping in the normal roads, cannot sit comfortable in middle seats. Only good in highway.

Final Words I'm not say don't buy. I'm saying don't think abt Santa Fe waste the time. Totally waste of Money. No proper service Er.s. Parts are very expensive. Tyres gone in 30,000 kms. Don't belive the review's which are in postive. All are wrong. This is not the car which is worth for INR 30 lakhs. Now enquire to resell the car and was surpriced, they were asking for 50% of the value. Just 30,000 kms and 8 months older.

Areas of improvement Except style, balance all. Improve serice Er's quality level. Clutch & gearbox. Sacks condition, a/c vents at middle seats. Sun roof is must.

Clutch Failure.

I bought this vehicle when 4WD version was out of production in India. They just newly launched All new Santafe Model without4WD options. As a enthusiast car driver I wanted only manual driven so I went for it. After clogging 42000 kms , I found out that clutch was worn out, so Hundai dealer said without inspection of the car to replace the said part. In just 42000, couldn't believe it.usually this part is well preformed up to 100000/1200000 kms. Cost comes Heavy around 40000 INR. And of course it is not covered in warranty by any Insurance Company. I have 25 Years of driving experience but clutch failure didn't occurred in those years.Companies reason is bad driving habits. Just can't believe.
