Exterior Front look and rear looks are awesome. Colour quality, shape, head lights, tail lights are all excellent and make you a proud owner of the car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As compared to other cars in this segment, Interior is spacious (no claustrophobia here), good leg-room and comfortable seats. However, after 4 months of driving I've noticed a very unusal thing about driver's seat. If you look at it properly and compare it with adjacent seat, you will find driver seat is not facing exactly straight on the road. Instead it is facing slightly towards right edge of the car. This is not something that you may notice on first few rides. You may notice while taking a right turn (not so sharp one) that the right edge of the car obstructs your visibility badly.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is terrific and gear shifting is as easy as it could be. Shifting to reverse gear may need extra efforts. Pick up is good but power on 3rd gear is little low. If car is standing still say on red signal and if you turn A/C on, engine noise and vibration is prominent inside. But no problem once it starts moving.

Fuel economy is not what they promise. I've driven it more than 3500 Kms in last 4 months.

Initially for first month, it gave me mileage of 10 km/lt. for 50%  of time A/C was on in city driving conditions.

After first service mileage didn't improve much. The dealer said that they do not tweak any settings in the first servce and just make some checks.

Now, after four months, it is giving me a mileage of 12-13 kmpl on an average with 50% of time A/C on. I believe it will improve further after second servicing of it.

Ride Quality & Handling You feel very happy each time you drive it. Ride Quality is good and handling it even for a beginner is very easy. However, as I mentioned, driver's seat is slightly facing towards the right edge which may give your body unusual discomfort on the long drive (6-8 hrs continuous drive).

The suspension could have been better. When you drive overr uneven road (or Mumbai's pothole laden roads) there is this dhadak.. dhadak.. nosie inside the car. But the jerks you feel inside are of low intensity (as compared to size of the pothole). This noise can be very annoying at times especially if you are driving on Mumbai roads.

Otherwise, its very comfortable for upto 5 hrs of drive.

Final Words  I actually expected lot out of this car and to some extent I got what they promised. However, Fuel economy is hurting me badly and more so because of ever increasing petrol prices.

Also, 1.2 Kappa2 engine cannot be converted to CNG which I would have gone for in next few months sighting the poor fuel economy and rising petrol prices.

This car is a good family car for weekends and if you do not mind spending extra on the fuel, it is good for daily commuting as well.

No doubt the family members will be delighted to have this car (as they are not aware or not bothered about the fuel economy and driver's condition).

Areas of improvement Mileage, Mileage and Mileage. If that is improved, only then they should focus on Driver's seat alignment.

Driving comfort, Quite Engine, Interior & Exterior Looks, Plastic Quality, good a/cFuel economy, Driver's seat position, top speed, suspension

The front seat tilt mechanism for i10is given to the bottom left of the driver. Its also very prominent and smooth. If by accident while driving at 40 - 60 Kph, a child sitting in the back pushes the seat-tilt knob down (very easy to push), the driver already being pressed to the seat suddenly falls back. The consequences could be disastrous. This is the problem with i10, if you have a kid 3yrs - 5yrs of age and sitting in the back. The company is not willing to talk about rectifying this problem. Its not the rarity of it happenning but the certain possibility of it happening. If anybody has a kid between 3 - 5 yrs you will know the movement inside the car. My nephew wants to constantly shift from front to the back of car and viceversa every five minutes. The chances of accidently pushing this seat-lever down are very high. Also the dealers are not willing to talk abt a fix. If this one problem is fixed, I think its a good car. But I also need to see reviews on how the car performs uphill with A/c on. Further, the on-road price of 4.53 (Hyd) without any freebies is far higher for the engine capacity and pull. Body does not appear to be solid. But a lot is riding on the brand as Hyundai plans to launch i20, 30 etc on this engine.

Comfortable inside and very smooth drive, for a 1.1 engine, its very heavily priced. Chances are with 4 on board it will not pull up-hill

I have a 13500 km driven i10 sports 1.2l kappa2 automatic version of October 2011 make. The ride is smooth, engine noise is very less.AC is ok.Looks of sports version is also appealing.People sometimes stop by and ask for which model.etc.Only let down is mileage. While buying an automatic transmission version ,the buyer already has made up his mind that he is ready to compromise a few km's per.liter (normally 2 km's per liter lesser than a manual car).I was also ready for that but this one goes below that.I have got a 16+km/liter average only once in 1 and half year of ownership when I bought it at 9000 km mileage from a NRI.My averages of fuel averages of these 4500 km driven by me has to be around 10.5 km/liter.If I drive onlong routes with controlled conditions(ac off) ,being very gentle on acceleration it does give 12 to 13 km /liter but normally in city traffic conditions with ac on it disheartens with as low as 8.5km/liter to maximum 10.5km/liter.Now I come to know that why in 6 years of ownership the previous owner has run in for 9000 km Only(though he was a nri ,the another major reason probably).I have told to local authorized dealer too while getting the car serviced but I was told that in automatic version they hardly have anything to alter with .From looks or trouble free running of engine I am totally satisfied but from fuel average aspect I expected a minimum of 11km per liter and on long drives atleast 14+ fuel average but it only managed to give me 16plus average once when I drove it like I am driving a eriksha.Had to accelerate slowly under rpms of 1200-1500,had to keep all windows closed, got filled extra premium petrol, and used ac on off or use very rarely,If I have accelerated the car once I did not use the brake till last Moment in hope that the power generated by engine is used till last meter. All this did increase the risk of accident chances as you are not using brake in anticipation and waiting till last second.I finally was very happy that the car managed to gimme back 16 know against rated 16.7km per liter by hyundai at highest rated.Other than fuel mileage their are hardly any concerns.Lil unwanted noise does come from ac grills and door windows plastics. But all in all 4/5 for car and on fuel mileage front it has to 2.5/5

      Hi every one

Two months back i was planning to purchase wagon-R, but thanks to hyundai people who came to my house and demonstrated this lovely angle to me. Wow what an experience it was when first time i drove this car. Interiorsr were the first thing which impressed me a lot. then i asked for the price it was Rs. 390000. which was affordable to me. My parenets also liked the car very much.

Finally we bought it........every thing is fine. as far as fuel efficiency concerned. i can tell you after first service.

and now i am experiencing a very rich experience of driving.

I advice you to simply go for this car.

      thanks for reading

I bought this car after going through reviews in CW and feed backs from my co-brother(who owns one) and my brother-in-law. I got what i heard from them. reverse gear is sometimes not engaging and needs reapplying. I expect this problem to be solved after first service. maneuverability is the greatest advantage, being a first time driver who learnt from this same car, within 15 days I was able to drive through crowded narrow lanes without any scratches!. and really many times I have come out of traffic which other friends felt impossible. so hats off to this model when driving through city traffic is concerned. Hi, this is my feed back after two months and 2700 kms of driving. on long distance driving I found it enjoyable. topped a speed of 145 kmph with full load of four people and one child. did well and felt it was fully under control, never felt out of control. the AC performance was also nice. got an average mileage of 14 kmpl with full AC.the suspension was more hard and later learnt that it was the tyre pressure that was actually bothering. actually 29 psi is giving a smooth drive.Good looks, beautiful interiors, gear shifting is like a toy carrolling feeling at high speeds, more features could have been provided for this price

      Exterior

Exterior look is subjective but at least I think this should appeal to the majority in Indian market, Nothing really very flashy, but thoughfull and practical, rear and side rubber rail is a real saver while driving in city roads, I am sure will save some money in long run. I really didn't like the front light bulging out , which makes me think twice while taking tight corner.

The badge that doubles as a tailgate opener is a smart wheeze, I think copied from VW, but leaving a wiper off the rear screen is a cost-cutting design idea, I kind of didn't like it, but most of us in india will not mind.

Overall, I think it's a better looking then it's competitor in the same segment ( except Punto :).

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Cleanly styled and pleasing. Hyundai has pushed the wheels of this little car out to its far corners possible, to make the cabin as big as it can and to make the i10 handle road bumps better. Amazingly, you can get four full-sized people in there without causing a fight. There’s even a proper three-point belt for a fifth, but the rear seat is too narrow to sit three unless they’re supermodel-skinny. In the boot, there’s space for a good few bags of shopping too, while the seat backs split and fold to take bigger loads, though they leave a big bump in the floor.

There is no height adjuster for the seat, so very short or tall people may find it hard going. The door mirrors move using small levers on the doors, but the i10 is so narrow that the passenger’s side is a cinch to lean across and fiddle into place.

The dashboard design is modern and looks really classy, while the materials used are impressive for a car in this price range. The high-mounted stereo is excellent, with big buttons and a CD player, as well as compatibility with MP3 players. What’s more, the thin-rimmed steering wheel adjusts for height, and the is perfectly placed on the dashboard. There’s a decent amount of space, with enough legroom in the rear for adults to sit comfortably.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

1.2L Kappa Engine is super refined, very silent - No Vibrations felt. The 1198 cc inline 4 Cyl engine is’nt a revv-monster - but isn’t a sloth either. Hyundai have come up with  a very practical engine and it is sure to be seen in its Sales charts. The Engine pumps out a healthy 80 bhp with a twisting force of 112 Nm. but again every other car in same segment got similar specs, so what's the big deal. The big deal with i10 is its weight. Its weight of 952 Kgs makes a world of difference. The Power to Weight ratio comes at a healthy 84 bhp / tonne, and also makes it very efficient engine with very good city millage.

      Ride Quality & Handling

Light controls ensure the Hyundai is extremely straightforward to drive. With a tight turning circle and excellent visibility, it has all the key attributes a great city car requires. The 1.2-litre kappa engine delivers keen throttle response, making sure the i10 is nippy through traffic. Combine this with responsive steering, progressive brakes and a tidy gearshift, and the Hyundai is fun and easy to drive. Even so, it’s worth pointing out the engine does get a little coarse at higher revs, and the ride tends to be on the firm side. However, the stiff suspension does mean the i10 is stable at highway.

      Final Words:

I bought i1- Sportz in last December, and happy with the overall performance of the car, as someone said, can't expect everything out of your car and wife :), If you looking for a city car with a Upmarket car feel, SOLID Interiors, Excellent Driveability, Peppy Engine, then i10 will meet your requirement.

Areas of improvement : Hyundai should look at putting a little wider tyres, require some finishing work on the front, looks very dull.

Entertaining to drive, peppy 1.2 litre Kappa, Great interior and spaceRide a little firm, Shoddy tires
