Its window glass makes lots of noise when half down. You can not drive the car with glases half rolled down. And for this GM also has no solution, its a manufacturing problem.Even dash board also make CHi-Chi noise while driving. Service engineer told that plastic is new so its making rubbing noise; it will take some time. But today 01.03.13 its been around 4 months still sound is there. When 6 lac car makes noise in first 3 months it feels really bad.

Pickup is good, safe, ac is good, steering control is good.

If this window glass noise will be emited this car be beat its competitors. I got checked this noise in front of me there are two three reasons i found:

1. Glasses are moved by string rather than arrangement like in spark or beat..

2. the channels in which glass moves are very loose that why the glass vibrate while driving..

If some one senior in Cheverolet will read this comment plz forward this to someone who can resolve this issue in this car. because this can improve the sales up to a very high extent.

Final Words Nice car, I am satisfied with it and it looks so spacious that i didn't expect it to be when it was released. Front view is nice like all chevys. It's my second chevy after beat. The Chevrolet Sail U-VA will be the first model to come out of the GM-SAIC joint venture. This car, which will replace the Aveo U-VA will ive into a cut-throat and ruthlessly competitive segment. It will face stiff competition from considerably talented cars, like the Maruti Swift, Ford Figo and Toyota Etios Liva. So does it have enough oomph to take on the rest? Read on to find out.

The Sail’s chassis has been engineered to provide extremely high levels of rigidity. GM’s engineers in India have also completely redone the suspension to suit our roads, which call for more ground clearance; hence raising the ride height of the cars was essential

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Ac switch light useless, power window switch in centre , fuel gauge , remote key buttons  u must press them many times to open car , no space under front seats , all doors dashbord too noisy.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Wrost milage just 10kmpl in diesel company says its because fuel tank is under gear box silly excuses.

Final Words If my complaint is not geniun then why company offering me extended warrentyon full car in freet.

Nothing in chevrolet cars , my new sail uva starts rusting from all sides complaints many timed even company engineers visited and say we will repaint my car free. Workshop cant fix problem in one time they call customers many times for same work.

My whole car is rusted too badly that it will destroyed in 1-2 years and company offering me warrenty of 5 years on full car. All showroom, workshop company is deaf and dump totally cheat and fraud company chevrolet. After sale of car customer go to hell if customer comes for paid work he is god and if he do complaint then so many call comes but no solution. My car went 5 times for same rusting problem checkup but all time they are talking with company. My key remote, some seal in doors are replaced by co.

Areas of improvement Just stop making cars , put chilly powder in customer eye and take his money and kick him.

DrivingAll , nothing in car

I have brought Chevrolet Sail U-VA in Feb 2013. This is my worst decision of my life. I am briefing couple of incidents though there are plenty to mention.

Incident 1: In March I have given my vehicle at Trident Chevrolet body shop as there was scratch. They took 8 days to paint one door. More than delay, they blamed insurer for the delay. Thought I signed insurance papers when I dropped my car, looking at the money they approved, I decided to pay full amount and not to go for insurance. But they cheated me by collecting money both from Insurer  and me. I came to know about this after 3 months when I called Insurer. If it happened by mistake, they should have called me and refunded my money or they should have refunded to Insurer. What if I was not told by the insurer about my settlement? How can they charge me double?

Worst of all: My Car is Super red in color. They used dark red to paint my door. It was not differentiated initially as they polished my car. Next day when I noticed, I clearly noticed the color. When I called them, they promised to correct in next service to which I have to wait for appointment again leave my car at body shop for a week.

Incident 2: In June I again gave my vehicle at Trident body shop, Kalyannagar as bumper is broken. It is more than 25 days and I am still waiting for my vehicle. Every day they narrate one story and postphone delivery date. In what context 25 days to replace bumper is reasonable? To what extent it is fair at Trident Staff to keep giving new deadlines everyday?

Final words: I was using Maruti Swift before this. I had plenty options when it comes to repair and service and more over Pratham motors was ultimate service provider. They never failed their deadline to deliver vehicle. They never lied. When it comes to Chevrolet, there are only 2 options one is Trident and the other is Kropex. I heard Kropex is more or less same as Trident (Though I never experienced at Kropex). This made my life miserable.

I am planning to sell it of soon. I have raised complaint with General Motors and awaiting for their action. More over sail is no where comparable to Maruti Swift. Please give preference to after sale service.

Good features at a cheaper pricePathetic after sale service in Bangalore. Only two authorized service centers (Trident & Kropex)

I have been using this car for since July 2013. Overall I am very much satisfied with the car. However seat height is not convenient for long drive and pick up is not upto swift level. Cost of the paid service is cheaper than any other car. Recently I have sericed my car including, oil change, spark plug change, connecting rode, ac service, break shooz replacement and full car polish whcih has cost Rs. 9,000/- only. I have cross checked with others and they have told me that servicing other car brands will definetely cost more than this. I have purchased car from mangalore. GM has changed frequently the dealers and dealer locations. Availability of parts in smaller centre is doubtfull. Unfortunately chevrolet is poor in marketing its good product. I think chevrolet petrol car owners are most happier than diesel car owners. There are many car manufacturing companies entered India after GM are doing verywell.

Exterior Though it looks a bit outdated, one can beautify it with Chevy Roof rails, side mouldings, etc.  Sail Uva looks amazing in the front and lacks a bit in the rear end.  

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) One of the most positive feautures of Sail uva is its unmatchable space and comfort. It shames even some Sedans out there. Given the 40:60 foldable rear seats, the comfort is excellent particularly for people who would like to carry a lot of luggage. The boot space is also very very better when compared with swift, i20, etc. 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Diesel engine that I own is doing an excellent job so far. The gear shift is unarguably smooth and easy to shift. I have not yet checked the fuel economy exactly. But roughly i can put it upto 20kms per litre minimum. 

Ride Quality & Handling City ride is a pleasure with this vehicle. It rules the traffic with its impeccable handling and ride quality. No matter how many hours you are stuck up in the traffic, it never tires you out. But in highways the handling is quite a bit hard. Since the steering is very smooth, one needs a tough hand to handle it at high speeds, say above 120kms/hr. 

Final Words On a whole Sail uva is a amazing car for people who value utility, mileage, price, safety above sporty looks, resale value, etc. The Sail uva Ls Abs diesel that i own comes with single din audio player, ABS, Fog lamps and driver airbag. But the point is it all comes for a exshowroom price of only around 6Lacs which is literally a miracle! 

Areas of improvement The interior looks should be improved. Provided the current interior design, the youths are not gonna love it. And the plastic quality should be improved. And Chevy must try to provide double din audio players since Single dins are totaly outdated.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Superb.My perception of diesel car totally changed once i drove the Sail-UVA.The engine is silent & fuel effecient.Even the petrol engine offers a good balance between acquisition cost & performance.

Ride Quality & Handling Suspension well adapted to Indian roads.Calibrated for comfort & high speed stability.Great maneuvering,low turning radius.Excellent driving comfort and advisable for those who drive extensivley in city traffic.

Final Words A MUST buy if SAFETY is your topmost priority. I think the SPACE is one of its USP especially if you are buying it for your family.Leaves " no room " to complain. This is one of the Global success stories which will capture the Indian Market.

Areas of improvement I will be looking forward to see more color options.

Exterior Very macho looks, Looks like a very sophisticate car, can Fit in a James Bond Movie. Car for new generation people, Who loves power, performance, style and value for money, The price is very aggresive, affordable for middleclass family, anyone who dreams of Big car with great features and peformance.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features very nice, It simply a CARRRRRR! Four people easily come in the back seat, Very comfortable to ride and drive.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great Engine Performance, Fuel economy is very promising and except back gear shift the gear box is smooth. Gives around 16KMPL with AC on in Highway. only completes 1000km. Hoping to get as promised. Very powerful AC. Cools very quickly in no time. Makes such a big car cool in no time with the AC on the initial counter 1.

Ride Quality & Handling Very comfortable and easy to drive, Driver dont easily get fatigue during a long journy, Very comfortable to drive 500km in a stretch.

Final Words Nice Family car, Gives full value for money.

Areas of improvement Back gear shift can be more smooth.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have driven this car for 18000km. After driving first few hundred km, noticed dark black smoke coming out of the exhaust. When complained the service person ignored and pacified it as a minor problem. But the problem continued. During second service when complained again, they promised to check and get back. The service engineer called back and confirmed that they will do free campaign service. The complete engine need to be taken out. The card was delivered after four days. Initially the dint find smoke but agin started after few hundred KM. Went to check the emission but the certificate was not given since emission was high. 

Gear box is smooth. Never gave me any problem. While buying it the service person confirmed that mileage will be 22km per ltr. But after two servi ing I am getting 13km/ltr In city and 16-17km/ltr on highway.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is good in normal road but in rough road the steering need to be held strongly due to vibration.

Final Words Please do not burn your hard earned money to buy this car, only because of the engine. Rest everything can still be managed but engine is fishy and you will never get any clarity from the service centre or company. 

Areas of improvement Do they really want to improve? First let them improve the trustworthiness. If a damage is done, let them find a permanent solution instead of keeping customers in dark.
