Exterior Well, I must say appearance of any car is more subjective. The beauty of the design lies in the eyes of the beholder. I personally like it as the entire appearance presents us a mature car for mature people; it does not belong to Chevy Beat strata which enthrals youg hearts.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Again, the interior will not make anyone resist from being inside the car. Yes, being labelled as a premium hatchbak there is definitely room for improvedment in the looks of dash. On the other hand, no one will complain about the airy and roomy setting.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Again the engine does not disappiont the people who will be travelling in the car for a comfortable ride rather than looking forward to perform feats of an F1 driver. It provides good response.

Ride Quality & Handling This is the best trait of this the newer entrant from he Chevy stable. It is more rooted on road even if crossing triple digits. Steering is light but would have bettered had it offered more response.

Final Words New Chevy Sail U-VA ticks almost all boxes for a mature buyer whose mantra is practicabilty. Add it Chevy assurance and warranty.

Areas of improvement I think the most desirable improvement everyone will vote for is plastic quality. To live upto to its name, Sail U-VA must update its plastics and dash design to more sophistication. Secondly, comes seat adjustments and climate control options.

This review is done from my test drive experience , about 15km i had driven the car and these are my findings.

Exterior Exterior styling is good not that sporty but looks like a sedan from front the twin part grill with chromium is nice to see the front bumper style is also good. On side there are body line which increases the appeal but rear need a bit improvement. Over all is a good car to see from outside.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior needs improvement in terms of styling steering looks plain, but it’s not boring the interior feels airy and roomier seats are good but should have little more thigh support in back and little more soft cushions NVH levels are very low and has excellent suspension takes the comfort level to a sedan its very apt for long drives. The air conditioner is good it cools the cabin in minutes over all it has a good interior comfort.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 1.2l Smartech petrol engine is a good performer it pulls in all gear without any strain and we can do overtakes in 5th gear with ease the power is steady we won’t feel it has it until we look on speed dials. But it won’t feel that sporty like the swift.

Gear shift is smooth and has short throws and changes from a very low rpm the acceleration is quick and smooth. Since i had only a test drive I was not able to say anything about fuel economy but in city it claims a 12-14 km/l with ac and 16+ in high ways.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is fantastic the suspension is good and tuned for our roads no bumpy or jerky feeling even in bad roads. The high speed stability is good and steering feels more precise at speed but not as in punto or swift but won’t make you out of control. On slow speed its light and easy .Over all dynamics is good and is a decent performer rather than a sportier performer.

Final Words Over all its a more practical car with lots of space and comfort than a funky or a sporty one. Those who needs a sporty car won’t feel it a great one but if we look for a car for comfort and space with over all performer the go for Sail UVA.

Areas of improvement Rear styling needs some cosmetic change. Interior should have some more styling and some small features like steering mount audio controls, bit more thigh support and a much softer seat.

Enormous space in front and rear,Fit and finish is better, Engine performance is decent ,Boot spaceInterior is plain, Seats can be little more soft , horn pad position

Exterior Superb Front Looks- Probably best among Hatchbacks and challenges several entry level sedans. Back Design could have been better. Though I got Spoiler and Roof rails. They helped in improving overall looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Feature Filled for its Price. Would have been better if Keyless Entry was part of this variant. Though i got Remote Central Locking by the dealer. Uncomparable Front and Backseat Legroom. Very comfortable even for Long Drives.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Pickup. Going gets Great after 1700RPM. pretty smooth gearshifts with short shifts. For first 1000 Kms got around 16-17 kmpl. Expecting that to get better.

Ride Quality & Handling Nice Handling. Nice Braking. ABS seems to work well.

Final Words Good Family car. VFM. I wonder why they used name of their 2 previous cars. probably GM loves SAIL and UVA too much. I would recomend this car to people who like space, decent power.

Areas of improvementes Music System. Back Looks. Chrome Logo on Steering.

Front Looks, Cabin Space, Comfort, Good AC, Decent MileageMusic System's Build Quality
