      We cancelled our booking of Hyundai verna automatic on the day your vehicle was XUV500 was launched reason was we went to see the XUV near by showroom named SRI Durga Automobiles , me and my dad were so impressed by looks and features that we immediately booked top model  W8 AWD, we were informed for waiting period for around 4months which we thought is worthy for getting such a kind vehicle, after two month in December we were informed by dealer that one customer has refused to took delivery cos of ending year so if you want you can take the delivery, it was feeling like top of the world, we took the delivery from showroom which seems to one of the memorable moments. finally we got our CHEETAH XUV 500 AWD. Just in month I drove my vehicle from delhi to jalandhar along with my few relatives it was un-believable that as I crossed 80km/hr my xuv started vibrating & back passengers can feel it more loudly, it was a chance to drove my xuv on highway at maximum speed but vibrating noise scared me lot that I don’t crossed even 100 km/hr and felt so embarrassed in front of my relatives, it was my first Mahindra vehicle,we can’t afford suv like Toyota fotuner, Ford endevour so we thought Mahindra has made this class xuv for such a people like us.

      After reaching delhi I took my vehicle to service centre for vibration problem and I was said to leave vehicle for 2 days that engineers will come and check the problem after 2 days I took my xuv as it was ok as per my relationship manager, next day while driving on empty road I found same vibrating problem coming so I called my relationship manager about and he told that you send your xuv in first service we will again check the fault as I can’t leave my xuv, cos I need my xuv for work, so after a month I dropped my xuv for first service at sri durga automobiles, this was my worst experience I felt in my life, I have seen many other brands service but this was something new to experience. In the evening I went to took my xuv from service I just came out of the service centre and found that my navigation is not working  again moved in to relationship manager, he told computer people had gone to you come in the morning, I moved in again in the morning and after a long wait for more than a 3 hours my infotainment system was changed as said by techinician that is was not working. Ok I took my xuv out of the service centre and found many lights blinking on the cluster again I moved in and my relationship manager said we need to scan your vehicle, it was done within 1 hour and finally everything working ok so I took my xuv from there.

      Again after one month I got chance to drive my vehicle from delhi to Chandigarh and I felt same vibrating problem, after I came back I again went to service centre and met service manager Mr.Chauhan he promised me that your vibrating problem will be cleared so he called Bridgestone manager about the problem and discussed the matter and finally bridgestone manager advised them to check the balancing of the wheels which were done under manager supervision in service centre. According to mr chauhan my vehicle was ready as the technician himself has taken the test drive, so I took my xuv from service centre.

      Again after a week I drive my vehicle at 80km/hr and found same vibrating problem so this time I was so angry that I decided to check my xuv wheel  balancing from a good techinician outside, it was done and next morning I have move for jalandhar so I found it was good time to check the vibrating noise, I was so shocked that it was still there,

      Now its been 6 months and my stupid xuv 500 awd has just done 4000kms cos I don’t like to drive it at all so I buyed a small hatch back Hyundai i20 crdi for my work now I just took away my xuv once a week on weekend with family for for local city drive only.

      Now we feel like we have been cheated by giving us such a poor quality vehicle,I will never advice anyone to go for this vehicle.my question from you at last is:-

      SHALL I STILL FEEL PROUD OF MY XUV500 AWD?

      Exterior As Mahindra says, that the design of this vehicle is made like a pouncing cheetah, at first sight, you will not be able to see that but as you go far away from it and look from the side view..you will feel the muscular wheel arches as of cheetah shoulders. Styling is very nice and seems like a beautiful beast.Nice to hear from Mahindra that XUV500 has been purely designed by indian engineers in Chennai design center.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is what Mahindra is meant for. In Xylo, they have given preference to space and evolved the internal layout first. I think they have tried the same thing over here but with a overall makeup. The legroom in the middle row and the third row is remarkably good. Interiors are very nice, there is an lounge effect lighting, touch screen with multifunctaional display, high end cars like cluster make you feel proud owner and many more things.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox As I drove this beast and I felt very much excited. It uses same mHawk 2.2 Ltr engine with pumped power of 140 and 330 Nm torque, which u will feel while driving the same. There is a turbo lag when u shift from higher to lower gear. but its only for a sec or two. After that it boost itself like anything. The same thing I have observed in Ford Figo Diesel also. I hope if people are comfortable with that, then they must dont have any problem with this one also. To sum up, its nice SUV.ARAI claimed its mileage to be 15kmpl and thats the best part of it with a killer pricing.

      Ride Quality & Handling Aah!this is what which i want upto fullest in every car. And truly speaking, I have found that in XUV500. I have driven SUVs like Captiva, CRV, Endeavour, Fortuner, Safari, Scorpio, Audi Q7 and BMW X5 and i think ride and handling of this vehicle is much much improved from other mahindra vehicles. It seems that you can move it on your fingers. Steering feel is very soft at low speeds and maneuvering is easy on twisty roads. It doesn't do anything funny while moving around corners and twisted roads. What i felt is that steering feeling is much closer to AudiQ7. the behaviour of the steering alters according to variation in speed and you can feel that. That means Mahindra engineers have tried to incorporate a perfect steering feel according to different speed levels. Coming on to ride, there is a multi link cleverness going on below the platform. The ride quality is far behind than any other mahindra vehicle. Suspension is niether too hard nor too soft, well balanced for the indian roads.

      Final Words Overall, its amongst its competitors but not less than them in any case.
      It has ABS, Airbag, Hill Accent and decent control, ESP, EBD and many more. ARAI claimed its mileage to be 15kmpl and thats the best part of it with a killer pricing. Its a BEAUTIFUL BEAST WITH BRAINS. WELL DONE Mahindra.

      Exterior AWSMMM NO SUV BELOW 15LKH BEAR STYLING LIKE THIS, OUTSTANDING. FOG LAMPS ARE AMAZING.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) DRIVING SEAT IS TOO GOOD.U CANT B BORED OF DRIVING. I DROVE 800 KMS FROM DEOGHAR TO PATNA AND THEN RANCHI TO DEOGHAR(BIHAR ND JHARKHAND). IT WAS A AWSMM EXPERIENCE. SOUND SYSTEM SO GOOD, U WILL NEVER GET BORED INSIDE OF VEHICLE. EVERY PART SAYS ABOUT NEAT WORK AND EQUIPPED WITH MODERN TECHNOLOGY. HILL DECENT AND HILL ACENT IS ALSO GUD, REACHED TOP SPEED 200KM/HR.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox ITS AMAZING AGAIN 140 BHP IS NT A LITTLE THING. MOST OF THE TIME  WE HAV 2 TRAVEL ON DUSTY ROAD AS IT PERFORMED VERY WELL. GEAR BOX IS NOT SO AS MANY PEOPLE ARE BLAMING THAT. JUST LIKE SCORPIO AND FAR BETTER THN SAFARIII. ON ROUGH ROADS WHERE U HAV TOCHANGE GEARS THOROUGHLY I GOT MILEAGE OF 14 AND ON SMOOTH HIGHWAY IT WAS 16 AS DISPLAYED BY THE MONITOR.

      Ride Quality & Handling AWSMM STEERING CONTROL AND GRIP. CRUISE CONTROL IS ALSO GUD AND HIL DESCNT-ASCNT WORKS GUD. I M 21 YEARS MBBS 1ST YEAR N MY FATHER IS ALSO DOCTOR. EARLY WE R OWNING SAFARI AND SCORPIO 2 BT XUV IS FAR BETTER THAN THEMM. WE HAVE ALSO TRIED SERIOUS OFFROADING BUT XUV IS UPTO D MARKK. SATISFIED 100%.

      Final Words BETTER THAN SAFARI,SCORPIO AND ENDEVOUR. THE BEST BUDGET SUV IN THE SEGMENT WITH LOW MAINTAINECE, GO BUYY IF U R PLANNING.

      I’m writing to inform all of  you what a honorific  negative experience I had on 28th September when I bought XUV 500 W8 From K.S.Automobile , Udaipur

      First When I shown interest in the XUV ( No loan-self payment in one go) The sales team Mr Ujjwak and Navin not went after me came down to my house  but When I paid full amount - gone missing and not even a call back only when I wrote a mail the reply was " I will check and come back" from a person who claimed to be the one point contact from KS automobile.

       

      Second Mr. Ujjwal and his senior Mr navin when asked for the price Pretended of  utmost seriousness and as if they have gone to all seniors and scenarios quoted me prices saying THIS ARE SPECIAL PRICES ONLY WORKED OUT FOR YOU . second when I asked Is there going to be any price off/ discounts/offer before 30th Sept as sheathes getting over  his revert was " ABSOLUTELY NOT , RATHER THEIR WILL BE PRICE INCREASE) - But very third day my staff brought my attention to advt in local paper by Mahindra showing rs 44K off !!!!  and I was given price offer ;less than this and EXCLUSIVE offer ??? something which was offered to very one. When confronted They started  giving all reasons and rationales but no explanation for unethical and misleading practice of all . What more when I demanded to see Mr parhar the promoter of  KS automobile /Mahindra He WITHOUT EVEN LISTENING ME COMES out and start defending his staff misdeeds.

      Worst . I bought almost 16 lac vehicle from their And THERE WAS NO ONE WHO COULD EXPLAIN ME THE FEATURES , when I asked Mr Ujjwal why he can't explain me features his answer " I have low BP"  I can't explain . In handing over note where they listed 20 plus checklist - I wrote 80 % no on handing over from NO explanation of features -  NO ONE BOTHERED TO COME FOR HELP THEY THROWN ONE BOXX OF SWEETS , SOME MOMENTO AS IF GET OUT OF HERE WE ALREADY SOLD YOU VEHICEL AND MADE OUR MONEY.

      Mr Parhiar ALSO HAD GUTS to tell ME  if you want we can let you talk to Mahindra on Price offers , means even company is also partner in this crime of misrepresenting facts, cheating customers and then unethically trying to prove they are writ by working backwards and trying to prove that they  are innocent . Even if you take all their figures on face value they couldn't explain 44 vs. 30 K difference.

       

      My advice to anyone who is buying vehicle go to any other brand  but not this one unless you are ready to face humiliation , ignorance and  totally lack of service post purchase.

       

      If any of you want to see my credential can check my website  www.sheikharif.com   all my life I  wrote books , visited top B school teaching students about integrity and honesty and here I have seen a company with full of shallow Values  , I admit good product but very questionable ethics.

      If Mr Anand Mahindra want to build his company around this value .

      I  still would like this situation to be resolved so I can continue to  trust others.

      I believe  this is not the way That Awful Company wishes to conduct business with valued customers—I have been with many other companies who sold cars to me  and have never encountered such treatment before. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn of how this company  propose to prevent a similar situation from recurring with others. I look forward to hearing from  any one in Mahindra who actually resolve this issue without getting in Process of justifying these actions in the weal of fake arguments

      Exterior A BIT SPORTY AND CURVY. GREAT HEAD LAMPS WHICH EVEN GIVES SAME JOY WHILE RIDING IN THE NIGHT. EVEN THE RARE LIGHTS ARE AWESOME. THE LED PARKING LIGHTS AND  INDICATORS ON SIDE MIRRORS ARE REALLY GREAT.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) VERY GREAT FEATURES AS THAT THE HIGH CARS HAS. THE LEATHER SEATS ARE REALLY SPORTY. AND THE AUDIO SYSTEM AND NAVIGATORS ARE AWESOME. SIX AIR BAGS , IMMOBILIZER AND DUAAL A/C IVES A GREAT COMFORT TO BOTH THE DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS.INTELLI PARK , EIGHT WAY ADGUSTABLE SEATS TACHO METER 6 INCHH TOUCH DISPLAY SCREEN ADS A ROYAL FEELING.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox THIS IS REALLY EQUIVALENT TO MANY GREAT SUV'S . THIS GIVES A BETTER MILEAGE AND JUSTIFIES THE FUEL ECONOMY THAT THE CONSUMER PREFERS. YHIS SUV IS AN EXACT ANSWER TO THE HIGH FUEL RATES.

      Ride Quality & Handling THATS REALLY GREAT.AND GIVES A GREAT RDE PLEASURE. ABS, EBD PROVIDES A BETTER RIDE ON THE ROAD.

      Final Words THERE IS NO OTHER BEST SUV THAN THIS AT SUCH AN ASTONISHING PRICE.

      IT HAS ALL THE FEATURES LIKE ABD , EBD , LEATHER SEATS, NAVIIGATIN, ALL WHEEL DRIVE ETC. WHAT NOTNO AUTO TRANSMISSION AND POWER SEATS. I WOULD BE A EVOLUTION IF IT HAD TRACTION CONTROL TOO.

      Exterior Good paint job, stylish, curvy. Looks Good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Third row space compromised. Plastics not so good, When clutch is pressed the foot toches the stearing rod. The software of Info System is unreliable. The mileage shown on ifo and actual vary by 4 km/ ltr.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is good. Gear box is very flimsy. The engagement of gears seems poor althoug hit engages. Fuel economy is good but what is shown on INFO is more by abt 3-4kms/ ltr.

      Ride Quality & Handling Handling is good and peppy. At times you feel that the turbo should give more instatnt push. The ride quality is good if more than 4 people are sitting. The suspension thus needs to improve a lot. The third row seats leg space is compromised.

      Final Words A good value for money but it still lacks the fineese of a good Jap/ European SUV. SOme of the auto features are really good.

      Areas of improvement Gear Box engagement. Third row leg room, quality of Info System and Quality of toch control screen. The dealers need to be more educated on the features. They are still ok if selling scorpio. Accessories highly highly over priced.

      Exterior The exterior is quite good. although its hit or miss but one can definitely live with the exterior design. In comparison to what is there in market in 15 lacs bracket, XUV is quite refreshing.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I am quite satisfied with the features given in this car. Have not found any problem with any of them and all seems to be working fine. Although I was quite worried after reading the reviews but my SAT NAV is working fine, speakers on both side are okay. Touchscreen is working quite well. All lights and buttons are intact. Some buttons are quite flimsy and regular use of them will demand early replacement.  Overall its quite spacious except the third row which is strictly for kids.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox So far its good performance. I did face problem while changing the gear from one to two and two to one. But now i am quite comfortable as I dont need to change the gear to one even at red signal. The car takes off quite smoothly at second gear so that problem is solved. Engine is peppy and pick up is quite good while overtaking. Although some time there is noise while using undergear which gives me indication to change the gear.

      On my recent trip to Aurangabad we got an average of 12.9 with AC on all the time which is quite decent.

      Ride Quality & Handling On slow speed the car suspension do not absorb any bad patch of road, however we drove the car at high speed of 80-100 and even the bad patch seemed absolutely smooth and perfect. We didnt felt the bad road at all.Overall ride quality is excellent at high speed. On low speed its quite good on even road.

      Final Words I will give 8 out of 10 to this car.

      Areas of improvement Would love to see improvement in Gear change becoming more smooth. Cabin noise insulation to be done properly. Car suspension to be smooth on slow speed on uneven roads.and Finally some more power like 180 or so.

      Exterior I think it is the most stylish SUV around. Solid external build & stance. LED lights are good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is superb, Its comfortable can carry more than 7 passesngers with ease. Acres of space in the second row of seats. Position of steering wheel gives a good feel.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerfull engine, excellent torgue its a breeze to drive. I have done 15,000 kms the performance has been flawless. Have driven XUV at 140 kms per hour it shows rock solid stability.

      Ride Quality & Handling Suspension could be softer, brakes could have been better.

      Final Words Great SUV virtually no competition in this range. Powerfull street presence. Easy to drive manouvre.

      XUVs toltal package is quite good no wonder it is selling as hot cake. Mahindra's service centre are also quite resposive & caring.

      Areas of improvement Seats to be more comfortable, brakes could be better, inside platics could be a bit more better. The interiors could have been more crisp and elegant.

      Exterior Good. But the plastics used in the headlamp unit is not scratch resistable.the win shield also is not scratch resistable.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Gr8 feturs. Plastic qlty nit good.space is excellent.third row of seats is less spacious.ride quality is gr8 in highway but on bad roads vibration is felt by all passengers.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is not that great compared to 2.2 engine.gearbox is so rubbish.gearthrow is long.fuel economy in city is 8-9 and in highway 14-15.sometimes i got a mileage of 17km.it has a top speed of 175km per hour but when i drove the car above 100km per hour a sudden vibration takes palce.finally its boring to drive the car.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride qlty,well amazing.but turbo lag and vibration is still there.handling is comfortable but not that great.

      Final Words pretty big and efficient suv at that price. But service, electronics and mechanism of mahindra...very bad. Dont waste 16 lakhs for this poor suv.better go for the skoda yeti.

      Areas of improvement Service, mechanism, electronics, interior quality, engine performance, turbo lag, comfort, fuel efficiency as well.

      Exterior

       Very good looking from outside . Head lights that glow when you turn this vehicle are very very innovative and useful. Other manufacturers  surely will follow this in their vehicles.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Very very good. Good space only the third row seats would have been better if they would have been a bit wider and more leg space. Its is more useful for children. Previously I was having a Toyota Innova, whose third lrow seat was very confortable for adults also.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Good piuck up (0-100 in less than a minute)as tested by myself. I am getting a fuel economy of 13 - 14 kmpl. Overall nothing to complain . 

      Ride Quality & Handling

      Very very stable at a speed of  150 kmph ( I drove it at that average speed on NH-5, from srikakulam to Bhubaneswar). And here it out performs ( my previously owned) Innova which vibrates at a speed of 120-130 kmph.

      The only second thing to complain (first thing being the third row seat) is its shock absorbers which are very hard in comparison to Toyota Innova . If the shock absorbers are smooth and sensitive then I will say this the Audy Q series for me (as can not afford to one )  and I can overlook the third row seat which is rarely used

       

      Final Words

       except for the shock abservers it is the best value for money . My friend call it China Audi  for the down to earth pricing with so many features.
