      My friend bought a hyundai verna sx(o) diesel, that is the top varient in diesel manual. It was last December he purchased this vehicle. We carpool daily on alternating turns. i have driven it plenty of times. we also went to trips in it couple of times. Here's my review of Verna diesel in detail. PROS: 1. At first glance, the interior is perfectly designed. not on any point i noticed any flaw, loose fittings or cheap quality materials anywhere (except hard plastics but that's not an issue). 2. comfort is just at par. seats holds you very nice and tight and offer great support. 3. infotainment system is very smooth to use. 4. gear shifts are slick and acceleration is quite good. 5. 6 airbags and good build make it safe ride for you. 6. feature loaded sedan. CONS: 1. Space. it is definitely an issue with this car. rear passenger leg room is very poor. in this price point rivals offer almost double leg space. head room could also be better. 2. no shoulder room either. 3 people sitting at the back is a dream in this vehicle. 3. Mileage. being a diesel motor it is expected to be fuel efficient. company claims it to give a mileage of 24kmpl. rather we would be happy at 20 or atleast 19. but it returns a mileage of 15-16 kmpl. even my xuv500 returns mileage of 16-17. Drivings on the highways for the major. So if you are planing to buy, here's an advice. if you have a small family like of 2 or 3, it would make a great choice, keeping cost of driving factor aside. it loads with features and other stuff but certainly lacks in space. if you have family of 4 or 5, i personally think rivals such as ciaz or city would be better choice.       Exterior Excellent.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent superb.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance excellent, imported car feel, gear box is good. only revrese gear not so good but fuel economy in city drive is only 7 to 8 kmpl.

      Ride Quality & Handling As good as imported car. Airconditioning and noise insulation excellent. Superb drive comfort.

      Final Words Extremly good car on the highway.

      Areas of improvement Low suspension and mileage. Highway mileage is also 11 to 12 and not 17 as claimed by company.  Overall good car but low suspension needs improvement. Also own santro for the last 12 years. Hyundai cars are extremely good product except milage.

      Verna is extemely good car on good roads but struggles during rains and pathholes. Exceptionally good comfort on highway drives. Donot buy if milage is a concern. Happy with service quality. Front tyres become wornout in 14000 kms. reasons not known. Company claims 17kms per litre on highway can never be reached.

      I am driving Verna Ex petrol version comfortable for drive. Engine power, look, space is comfortable. Suitable family car for long drive, ground clearance is better. Exterior and Interior look is awesome, truly value for money, safety features are good, gear is smooth, overall good.

      This video i have specially made to educate people what actually the car is. This is no promotional video which portal generally make.

      The video contains all the details which generally a person want to know about the car before purchasing it. Also the video has been made in very generic language. 

       

      The only part which i have not mentioned is the mileage part because the mileage rises after first two services so it was not right to comment on that part. Currently, my mileage is around 9 bt company is claiming 17.4 , but according to me it won't go beyond 13 or 14 in city roads. Highways mileage you can around 2 kmpl on higher side. But trust me city traffic surges your mileage a lot respective to what is said by company. Also this was manual mileage, but if we talk about the automatic version . then mileage is less to this as well. In fact this case is reverse in HONDA CITY. honda city automatic variant have higher mileage as compared to the manual one.
