Volkswagen Group has announced their plans of investing 84.2 billion Euros (about Rs 7.15 lakh crore) globally till the advent of 2018. However, the companys joint ventures from China will independently invest another 18.2 billion Euros (about Rs 1.55 lakh crore) during the same period.

The Indian subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group sees a change in the top-level management. Mahesh Kodumudi has been appointed as the Head of Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited replacing Gerasimos Dorizas, who was the Chief Representative of Volkswagen Group India and former Managing Director. Dorizas has given up his position citing personal reasons.

In totality, 11 Polo rally cars will be competing in their respective categories. Volkwagen is believed to be working on a budget brand and will make an official annoucment in this regard next year.
