    DRIVING:
    Few thousand kilometers
I am not a car Geek, my previous experience with Driving car before VW Vento is Maruthi 800 and Wagon r. I have travel experience Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volvo etc as I spend some time in Europe. When I came back to India I was looking for safe, comfortable car within the budget of 12 Lakhs. My prerequisite conditions were, it should be Manuel Petrol variant. With constant discussion and watching many review videos and some influence from Europe life, I choose VW, Vento from the final list (City and Yaris was the other options). Also I gave some preference for the comfortable features like, touch screen, cruise control, rain sensing viper, ARVM. At the end these features were so useful for the long drive between my work place and Home town. I used to cover in one direction 340 km from Karaikudi to Vaikom, passing through City of Madurai, Empty highway Villupuram Chennai, high range of western ghats, etc. To be honest I don't want to experience myself with the safety aspect of this car or any car, I leave this to the fate. I brought the New Vento Highline Petrol Manuel on 1st January 2018 from EVM VW Maradu Kochi. Buying experience: The service center people was so professional the delivery of the car was so quick. They provided additional information that we can integrate reverse camera (no additional display) on this particular variant from VW workshop with additional cost of 14,000 Rs. I did this rather than going to Highline plus Riding experience, less ground clearance, so you need to really slow down (1st gear) in almost all the humps. In the highway I regularly hit 120km/h its stable and no vibration, no noise. Once I drove 160km/h frankly I didn't enjoy much when compared to the experience I had in Mercedes at 230km/h. I don't care about the look its a car. Performance in highway I used to get max 14km/L (fully loaded, including trunk), city 10km/L. With 1.6 Liter heavy car you should no expect more. 1st (year) 9500 km. Servicing at EVM VW Maradu cost around 10000 (oil, filter viper blade etc) and they were professional. The cons I have in fact I was mislead by carwale it dosn't have a child seat Anchor point (isofix point)
