I dont think there is any other car quite like the Fortuner!

I had only bought bcoz my wife thoughts our kids would love to use the extra space. And was she prophetic about this?! Even my kids' friends love it as there is enough space and they dont feel chained to one place -- esp over long distances.

Most other aspects of the car are well written about and mostly true - imposing looks, great road presence (esp around those pesky autos and the unruly sedan drivers!), great resale value, very low maintenance, decent mileage 10.7 kmpl.

The Cons are also well known - interiors is a straight lift from innova and more utilitarian than luxurious, road bumps can be felt unlike high end sedans, and acceleration is not exhilirating (my other car is a Chevy Cruze, which is like a slingshot between signals)

In summary - even if you are not a big off-roader, go for it if you have kids under 15. They will enjoy it the most

Exterior Look better than ford endeavour,it looks like costly car but ford endavour lokks not good as compare to fortuner.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Touch screen is very nice,8 seater,and it is toyota car obbiously it would be very comfortable,there are buttons on sterring wheel to connect with bluetooth,slow volume etc.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox is superb. fuel econmy is very less ie 8-10.engune perfomance is vry nice when we put foot on accelerator it rocks. I have automatic fortuner and it change gear so softly that we dont feel we are driving so smooth excellent.

Ride Quality & Handling It handling is perfect. if you want to know that what is power sterrring then drive drive toyota fortuner you willl observe that is real power steering.

Final Words If you are confused between endeavour and fortuner i tell you foryuner is better than endeavour but fortuner is costly than it also if you  have budget between 18-26 buy fortuner.

Areas of improvement is on safety.safety featurs are less fortuner price 21-26 lacs it has only  2 airbags.

Exterior The only best thing in Toyota Fortunar is its truly SUV robust look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Inside decor is well managed but the same is availble in Mahindra XUV at a much lower cost. Adjustable middle seats provide adequate leg room to the third row passengers comparing to other SUVs. Even at such a high priced SUV no navigation system is available which is standard to Mahindra XUV and Ford Endevour. Also DVD player does not work in driving mode. This is good for safety but then What for it is provided there? Why the passengers are deprived of enjoying dvd while travelling when they have paid for this.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Sound of the engine is too loud and even in all window closed condition you need to play the audio at a higher volume to suppress the engine sound.

I have mainly highway driving (NH5, Bhubaneswar Cuttack route) which is fairly a good patch without any major traffic. Even at a average speed range of 70 - 100 kmph , present milege is around 10 kmpl, may be little less than 10

Ride Quality & Handling Pick up is good when the vehicle is at a hogher speed range. but the major issue is speed acceleration from low or zero speed to higher speed. It takes significant time to speed up from 20 to 100 kmph. My vehicle is at second service and hoping to get it better after this service. Handling of the vehiclle even at 130 kmph is pretty smooth and comfortable.

Final Words Highly overpriced.

Areas of improvement Without any further price hike Toyota should provide GPS, seat back LCD as a standard feature. Engine sound needs to be reduced. Speed accelaration after braking needs to be improved drastically.
