I can agree with you only on the las 4 words of ur reply and i feel you are confused that the xylo and scorpio are of the same segment of cars which is not true, certainly the xylo was marketed as the sedan killer but if you could look into the indian markets now at present, you could see the success rate that the xylo is having ahead of its competitor cars . The Scorpio again comes in an altogether different segment than the xylo and so there is no room for one of them being inferior or superior to the other.

Xylo is an MUV which they have tried to sell as an SUV..they tried to market it as a sedan killer, but i think xylo isnt the best effort by mahindra, scorpio still remains superior.

well as the reviews are varying frm place to place but i believe the features and price of the xylo is the strongest point in the car which is giving it success lately.

Anyways, cant really say about the person on the other side of the keyboard...
But general ethics demands you to be able to put your best foot forward...
We may feel offended far number of times than we actually express...but yes one should be patient enough to understand the logics, and be equally bold in bringing out the points in a more rational, simplistic and calm manner...rather than misleading others in understanding you...
Anyways Rahul if you reading please correct the attitude, for the person on the other side of the line may be much more senior to you in his cadre, age to really gallop all what you speak

OMG Rahul, I don't know why you think you're not being rude but that tone of yours wouldn't get you too far "dude"... Criticism is always welcome but better received when polite.
Charles I agree with Rahul on the pictures, sometimes from a lay persons point of view it is always nicer to see pictures with someone looking more adventurous, like shorts but hiking boots? Just a suggestion!
Overall I would never invest and buy a Xylo, some friends have bought one and the interiors are so tacky that I wouldn't even care to look at the engine or the performance. I would definitely invest another 2lacs and go for the Innova.
Cheers all!

Hi,
I have myself cancelled a booking for the Xylo E8. booked on 14th Jan 2009. The car may be good but the service rendered to me there was pathetic. The Xylo was launched this day. I had to cancel the booking on 27th Jan because the delivery was nowwhere in sight. This was done in Nasik itself. Wouldnt blame the vehicle, its a bargain, but Mahindra service is a far cry.
Better to shell out 2 lakhs extra for an Innova and enjoy the fantastic service plus the resale I predict will be hopeless. the vehicle's average is approx 13kmpl. The Mhawk in the scorpio gives 16kmpl. Who is to say Mahindra will not introduce a new engine in the Xylo?
Overall all I want to point out is that
1)the information given to Carwale of Zero cancellations is wrong. I can verify that.
I suggest,
2)Mahindra is making world class product, why not world class service? Can take a tip or two from Toyota.
3)The dealer should appoint courteous people in the sales and service dept. They project the values of the company to their customers.

I was the first to question, and my questions haven't been replied
"but the power and turbo kick in on the Xylo is quite a bit of fun" "it sounds rough, especially beyond 2000rpm"
i don't think this is how an expert will go about things. a common man who doesn't understand much on cars will think its something bad, won't he?
"you need to be more specific, don't you feel so?"
@pankaj
if u think i am rude i aint rude.....i aint abusing someone or fighting i am asking something to the car tester dude......
