Do you have the patience to wait months or even a whole year for your dream car to come to life? If so, you've got to assume you will end up with a pretty spectacular piece of machinery.
Porsche has released a 10-minute video showing how its revolutionary new 918 Spyder is carefully hand assembled in what looks like an incredibly quiet assembly line. The hybrid supercar, which is now sold out, is one of the fastest road-going cars ever made though when you look at the firepower, it becomes quite easy to digest the fact.
The 918 Spyder, in fact, is powered by a 4.6-litre, V8 engine. For that extra edge, the high-revving V8 is paired with not one but two electric motors. The end result is 887bhp of power and 1,275Nm of torque. Thanks to such outrageous power figures, the 918 Spyder can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.6 seconds and go on to a top speed of nearly 350kmph.
