Nissan Micra Active [2013-2018] User Reviews

Hi I am a proud owner of Nissan Micra Active XV. Its been hardly a week since I got my car delivered. I know its too early to post a review with my limited hands on experience with my car. Still I am posting this with a concern over the performance.

Exterior Mine is an Onyx Black XV Version. I must say Nissan Micra has a huge brand name, especially for the Japanese engine. I believe black is the only variant which has same body and mirror colour. The headlamp are too peppy and adoreable.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I am in the well fed class, weighing a little over 100kg and tall enough. The head room is very much impressive. I stretch the drivers seat pretty much behing to make myself comfartable. Even with that the passenger at back seat gets extra leg room which is highly remarkable. Seating is pretty much comfortable.

Stearing is one among the best things I like about this car. Its too smooth and i can easily turn with one hand.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Now this is the major segment which scores, and which has raised my concern a lot. I have hardly run 150kms. My mileage shows 10.5 km/Litre as avg. The pulling is terribly low that at times i felt like car was over loaded with 6 people.

Ride Quality & Handling Gear box just spoils my day!! The moments i release my foot from accelarator when im in 2nd gear, the car kind of goes wacky!! Pulling hear and there. I dont know if its just with my car or you all are kind of used to this thing.

Final Words Can someone enlighten me on run in period? Will the mileage get better. I hope it would, coz i dont have any other go. Cant even think of a new car, atleast for a 5 years from now.

Areas of improvement Power, Interior parts, Gear shift shud have been made more comfortable, which atleast would have satisfied me as a new buyer.

Looks and Brand NameLagging, Low mileage

Exterior The exterior is quite good, looks unique, and the design of car was aplauded by many collegues and friends.It has a very big boot space almost 285 lt. which can eat all the luggage.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The instantaneous fuel effiency is great, and gives accurate fuel effiency, thanks to the drive computer in the speedo.

Interiors could be made much better ,the interiors are not that appeling as the exteriors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very smooth engine, there is no hurdle in shifting the gears, the power delivery is great, thanks to the 1.2 l engine. I get a fuel effiency of 17.2KMPL in city and close to 20 on crusing the highway.

Ride Quality & Handling Great braking. the ventilated disk brakes are the reason for this, the car is quite stable even at the speed of 130kmph.

This is best car for the drive in city since the turning radius is 4.5m it actually makes easy to drive through the small streets in My place. I purchased this car three months ago from SURYA NISSAN marathalli, A silver micra active, Here is my first review after 3500 Kilometers!

Final Words Overall its a great car for the price, and a must buy for people who is gonna buy their first car!

Areas of improvement The interiors need tto be improved(Compared to the new i20), The ground clearance need to be improved.

Exterior Exteriors depends on individuals. However I have bought this car not because of the exteriors but this was the only car which was offering ABS and Airbags within my budget.

The front bumper has got a design in such a way that I managed to fix DRLs which made the car more visible and it also made the car look good.

Overall its good and I seriously miss rear wiper.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are basic and you have good space inside the car. Big glass area give you good all round visibility. In this variant we got music player which serves the purpose (bluetooth is missed and I am managing with AUX cable). Its has good space and has enough space in the boot. It could have been better if the luggage lamp was given in the boot. It has enough storage space, could have been better if more storage was given.

Seats are very comfortable and there is very less fatigue when driving long distances.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This car has a very good and responsive engine which is suitable for both city and highway use. Its nearing 4 years I own this car and never faced any issues. Very reliable engine. As there is very less NVH in this car, cabin is not that silent. As the speed increases noise inside the cabin increases.

Fuel Economy within the city is 15KMPL and on the highway is 17KMPL (all the time windows up and AC running). Fuel Economy again depends on various factors.

Gearbox is a bit irritating in this car. Slotting the gear into 1st and 2nd gears is an issue sometimes and while slotting into reverse gear it will make grinding noise sometimes even when the clutch pedal is fully depressed. Gear play is too wide and takes a more time to shift the gear.

Ride Quality & Handling The car's suspension is stiff and is good for highways and good roads. While travelling on bad roads you can feel the bumps harshly. Handling is very good due to stiff suspension. The steering is so precise, it gives confidence while driving the car. As the speed increases, the car becomes more planted to the road (aerodynamics) and gives good grip. There is a little body roll in the car while taking turns.

ABS, EBD and BA are awesome.

Final Words I would recommend you take extended warranty as the car's radiator fan assembly gave up after 3 and half years. Over alll its a very good car for the price is comes at. Lakshmi Nissan was always helpful whenever I took the car for servicing.

I will post the details of costs associated with the car for each time I took it for service shortly.

Areas of improvement Gearbox could be better with short gear play. Howmuch ever they apply the anti-squeal grease on the brake pads, the brakes still squeal while mild braking. Need to improve NVH levels.

ABS & Air Bags at this cost, Handling, SpaceFaint squealing sound while applying brakes (no issue with the braking though)

I have been driving micra since last 2-3 Yrs. I feel it is a good budget car that offers good safety features in India. In city it is easy to drive in traffic and on highways it gives smooth and fast acceleration once it crosses 80km/hr of speed. Pros: Good look, Safety Features, smooth engine, Inner space Cons: Gears shifts are hard at low speed.

It has a poor mileage, vibration is more, irritating engine noise inside the cabin, very poor pickup if ac is on and I bought the car in puducherry, it's a waste of money. The service is worst. In the free service itself there are charging more than a paid service. Simply they are cheating the people with fake promises. CHEATERS

Nissan is my dream car Micra Active it is SUPERB car driving in city Average in city 14 KMPL HIGHWAYS it gives 16 17 KMPL BOTH or with A/C Go for it u feel different experience. This car is really good U can as if u or in BEAST. Go for it. NISSAN.

I have buy it 1.5 years before I have traveled to lot of places my experience in this segement cars it is good with in a day I traveled 490 km for my business and I have no pain tiredness feel good. Before purchasing this car I see it's classic style good maintances more smooth inside car nice space my sugection it is nice car to buy.

This is the car i have choosen over swift coz of strong body structure and having all safety feature like ABS, EBD, BA and dual airbag.Right now i completed 2 years with this car and cover around 20 thousand km.i covers many small and big trip with this car an can say it is reliable car .i am very satisfied with this car as its value for money.hats off to Nissan for this car.

i have the blue one,many of many friends really likes the colour and ofcrse the design is beautifull for me.the head lamb and the front view all is perfect.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

the cusion cover quality is not good,it start coming out slowly in six month time,better you should put a cusion over cover. and the central lock and the power window all perfect.

its nissan,the price what you pay is really matching with the performance of the engine.

as i drive with AC all the time it gives me an average of 15+ mileage .the engine perform well in the hill roads.

Driving is awesome,no issues.smooth driving.the safe and safety options gives you more comfortable while driving.

 

Final Words

if you really looks for the fuel economy-it gives u 15+ with AC on.i think its not bad compare to the same competitive in the market

 

Areas of improvement  .

could improve the music system display area and bit more stylish in interiors,beacuse other comanies offer bit more than this sometimes.
