Honda has announced that it will return to Formula 1 racing in 2015 as an engine supplier to the McLaren team reviving a 20-year-old partnership that saw drivers like the great Ayrton Senna and Alain ’The Doctor’ Prost romp to multiple titles in the early 1990s.

The upcoming BMW 2 Series Coupe has been spied virtually undisguised while being shipped off for what is believed to be an ad shoot somewhere in Europe. The 2 Series Coupe is expected to replace 1 Series range of vehicles except in the hatchback and GT variants. The car that has been spied here is believed to be the M235i variant. 

Skoda may soon stop selling their Fabia hatchback for the Indian market. The company is believed to have taken this decision due to the fact that they have been incurring huge losses on the production of each car. According to some reports, the company has been been losing around Rs 1.5 lakh on each Fabia sold and the main problem they have been facing with the vehicle is the level of localisation in the production process.

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the 2014 S-Class luxury sedan at an event in Germany. The flagship sedan from the German automaker has been at the forefront of automotive technology for the last 58 years and is a glimpse of what will be in your car in the next decade or so. Thanks to a host of spy shots as well as brochure leak (that sent the global motoring press into quite tizzy) we already knew what the car looked like both inside and outside. 

Mahindra will be launching their second sub four metre vehicle, the Verito Vibe in Mumbai on June 5. The ‘Verito Vibe’ is indigenously designed and developed by M&M and is underpinned by the Verito platform. We have already seen spy pictures of the undisguised car from Pune and Bengaluru and know what it looks like both inside and outside.  

Fiat is currently performing a feasibility study to check if they can make India an export hub for their Chrysler brand. The move, if it takes place, is a part of their strategy that will help them increase their market share in Asia-Pacific region. 

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the GL Class Launch Edition for Rs 77.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The second generation luxury SUV was unveiled in 2012 and features a significant amount of cosmetic changes over the previous generation SUV. The vehicle was launched by Eberhad Kern, CEO of Mercedes-Benz India and German tennis legend Boris Becker at a function in New Delhi.

Ford Russia has announced that the EcoSport will be assembled in Russia also. Production for the crossover will commence at the Ford Sollers plant in the Republic of Tatarstan in the second half of 2014. The announcement was made during the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a new engine plant at the factory premises. 

BMW has teased Gran Lusso Coupe concept in collaboration with the famed Italian design house, Pininfarina. Sporting a V12 engine, the model will debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy on May 24. The most interesting bit is that the concept may be a preview of the future 8 Series.
