The MLC is Mercedes' answer to the BMW X6, and it has been caught undergoing the 'hot and dry' cycle of testing in Death Valley, California. Accompanied by an M-Class, the test vehicles were camouflaged but a few things still can be deduced.

Government looks for other cars as the Ambassador bows out

Soon there will be a time when we will no longer be able to see the red siren flashing from atop a Hindustan Ambassador speeding down the road. News is that the Finance Ministry has declared that cars with a net dealer price of up to Rs 4,75,000 can be purchased as staff cars by ministries. Which means that the government is eagerly looking for replacements.

Centre aims to scrap RTOs in a bid to modernise registration system

The Central Government is aiming to scrap RTOs (Regional Transport Offices) and bring in a more efficient and alternative system within the next few months. This statement was issued by the Union Minister of road transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari, in Pune, yesterday.

Jaguar Project 7 unveiled at Pebble Beach with a price tag of Rs 1 crore

Last week, the Project 7 made its American debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Jaguar has now officially started accepting bookings of the car in the US market. The car has been priced at USD 1,65,000 (Rs 1.0 crore) and deliveries are expected to commence around March 2015.

Mercedes-Benz India to increase car prices by 2.5 per cent from September 1 onwards

Mercedes-Benz India has announced a 2.5 per cent hike in the prices of all models across their range which will be effective from September 1. The company says this upward revision is due to the rising input costs coupled with continued high exchange rate.
