Earlier this week, a prototype of Tata’s upcoming compact hatchback was spotted testing alongside the Tata Nano automatic. Rumoured to be christened ‘Kite’, the new hatchback will help Tata cover a wider range of audience by slotting in between the Bolt and the Nano. A new batch of spy shots of the car has now emerged, which were taken near the Pune-based manufacturer’s facility near Chakan.

It’s the season of special edition versions in the entry-level premium car market and BMW India is the latest automaker to introduce a limited edition model for the Indian customers. The company has reportedly launched the limited-run 1 Series M Performance Edition. Based on the regular 1 Series hatchback, production for this new version is limited to just 111 units.
The iconic Lamborghini Gallardo ended its successful 10 -year run with a whole host of special editions and most importantly, one make race series called the Gallardo Super Trofeo that was run in Europe, North America and Asia. Now with the retirement of the Gallardo, its successor the Huracan will take its place and be the race car in the Huracan Super Trofeo series. Oh and as the headline says, the car has been teased ahead of its official debut.
The Hyundai Verna was introduced in India back in May 2011 and is one of the Korean manufacturer’s best-selling cars in India. The facelifted Verna was launched in Russia earlier last month and thanks to the ‘Fluidic 2.0’ design philosophy, looks very similar to its elder sibling, the Sonata. Now, reports suggest that Hyundai is planning to launch the car in the Indian market before the end of this year.
Skoda has officially released a sketch of its upcoming generation Fabia, ahead of the car’s debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. Set to go on sale in the UK early next year, the new Fabia will join Skoda’s UK model range and will replace the existing hatchback which has been in the market for a significant amount of time.

Maruti Suzuki is believed to have extended its deal with Fiat to continue the supply of the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel till 2018. A report from Livemint suggests that the deal to supply the engines was till April 2015 but has now been extended due to a change in market dynamics.
Recovering from a decline in domestic car sales in the past few months, Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has posted a 12 per cent growth in the sales numbers in June 2014. Riding on the success of the newly launched Corolla Altis, the Japanese manufacturer is now expecting to grow by six to seven per cent in this year.
Toyota has launched India-made Etios Cross in South Africa for a price of 159,800 Rand (approximately Rs 8.99lakh). The car will join the Etios hatchback and the sedan in the South African range of cars.
