Skoda has renamed the variants across its model range. Earlier, the versions offered on the Fabia, Laura and Yeti began with Classic, Ambiente and Elegance. Skoda has now renamed them to Active, Ambition and Elegance.  

Skoda has launched a tarted up version of the Laura in India called the Laura RS.The RS version comes with a spoiler on the boot lid, Xenon lamps, cornering lights and LED position lamps as well. New 16' wheels have been added to add to the sporty theme of the RS. Apart from this the RS also gets 'RS' badges all around the car. Inside the RS is drapped in Alcantara leather and a multifunction steering wheel as well. Rear AC vents too come with the package.

SkodaAuto India announced a sales growth of 39.17% for the month of February, 2011with the sale of 2512 units as against 1805 units in February 2010. The Yeti and the Fabia spearheaded the company's growth in the country.

Škoda Auto sold a totsl of 68,400 units worldwide and its sales rose 26.4% in January 2011 as compared to 2010. The company also recorded high double-digit increases in the growth regions of China, India, and Russia. In China, the largest foreign market of the brand, sales increased 40.0 %, reaching 20,500 units. In Russia, the manufacturer was able to almost double sales with 3,400 sold vehicles (January 2010: 1,800 units; plus 83.6 %). In India, Škoda achieved a plus of 60.8 % and 2,800 sold vehicles.

In 2010, Å koda Auto achieved the best sales result in the history of the company. With 762,600 sold vehicles (2009: 684,200), the brand increased its sales 11.5 %. Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland, the chairman of the board of Å koda Auto said, "In 2010, Å koda has given an outstanding performance. In almost all markets, we have had significant growth and increased our market shares. Again, our sales have risen at a double-digit pace."

ŠkodaAuto India announced that its sales grew by 38% in the year 2010 as opposed to that in 2009. ŠkodaAuto India’s total sales for year 2010 stood at an impressive 20,166 units. The company’s sales performance was encouraging in the last month of the year as well with total sales of 2617 units and a growth of 135% over the same period last year. The introduction of the new Škoda Fabia (read road test) and Škoda Yeti(read road test) were the main highlights of the year 2010 for Škoda Auto India.

Those familiar with the world of performance tuning in India will know a name like KS Motorsport (Mumbai), who has done many a mean machine in the last few years. Some of the cars prepared by KS Motorsport have won many a closed street racing event. Normally known for turbo-charging and doing up Japanese street machines like the Mitsubishi Lancer, Honda City and many a Suzuki, KS Motorsport has just launched Revo Technik ECU remaps for India. Revo Technik is a British based tuning firm that specialized in ECU remaps for the VAG (Volkswagen Auto Group) range of cars – which includes Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen and Porsche.

SkodaAuto India today rolled out the 25000th Fabia built in India from the Volkswagen Group’s facility located at Chakan, Pune. Present at the event were Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland, Chairman of Board of Directors of ŠkodaAuto a.s. and the new Volkswagen Group Chief Representative India & President and Managing Director Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd, Dr. Frank Loeschmann.

The Volkswagen Group comprising of the three brands- Audi, Skoda and Volkswagen achieved an extraordinary growth in deliveries to customers of 131.9% in the period January to September 2010. The three brands together delivered a total of 32,359 vehicles to customers in the first nine months of 2010 as compared to 13,956 cars sold from January to September 2009.

SkodaAuto India announced a sales growth of 24% for the month of August 2010 over July 2010. SkodaAuto India’s total sales for August 2010 stood at 1511 units. Skoda has registered a growth in the sales of its flagship car the Skoda Superb and the New Skoda Laura.
