Mitsubishi retains all of the old Outlander's features and adds two seats, making it a 7-seater, and thus more a 'propah' SUV

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced it will sell its all-new Mirage “global compact car” in Thailand starting from March today. The Mirage is a “global compact car” developed under a revolutionary concept that fulfils the both the needs of incredibly-growing emerging markets as an entry-level car and eco-conscious advanced markets with its superior environmental performance.

After a long wait, Mitsubishi has launched the Pajero Sport in India. The Pajero Sport costs Rs 23.53lakh(ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes equipped with a 2.5-litre diesel engine that produces 178bhp and a maximum torque of 400Nm. This engine comes mated to a 5-speeder manual.

The first-generation Outlander (earlier known as Airtrek) first went into production in 2001 and now Mitsubishi will unveil the third-generation of the Outlander at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March. The next-generation Outlander will be similar in dimension as the current model. 

For the first time, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has decided to select the most demanding European market as global launch pad for an all-new vehicle. This March, the Geneva Motor Show will see the world premiere of a strategic and innovative premium vehicle, to be retailed sequentially during 2012 – a car of substance that will reflect a gradual transformation in Mitsubishi’s design language.

The much awaited new model of the SUV Pajero will be launched in the first quarter of year 2012. Making this announcement, Mr. Manoj Jha, Managing Director of Hindustan Motors Limited, which manufactures and markets Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s Pajero and other vehicles also in India, stated here today, “We had decided to launch Pajero as well as new variants from the HM stable at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi. However, some dislocation of operations at Mitsubishi Motors’ Thailand facility due to natural calamity and unexpected events compelled us to alter our plans for participation in the auto show.”

More than two dozen owners of Mitsubishi Pajeros participated in the Pajero Heart-in-Mouth (HIM) rally in Vadodara. The adventurous and adrenaline-charged sports utility vehicle (SUV) event came on the heels of similar rallies organized very successfully in Ludhiana and Delhi recently. HIM rallies will be held in Pune, Bengaluru and Coimbatore in the coming months.

Mitsubishi’s much awaited and renowned Pajero Heart-in Mouth rally enthralled car enthusiasts in the national capital region today. The adventurous and adrenaline-charged sports utility vehicle (SUV) event came on the heels of its first leg organized very successfully in Ludhiana recently. The rally was organised to provide owners of the legendary Mitsubishi Pajero a unique opportunity to explore and experience the outstanding off-roading capabilities of the iconic SUV which has the unique distinction of having won the world’s toughest car driving contest, Dakar Rally, as many as 13 times.

Mitsubishi has launched a limited edition of the Outlander. The new variant named Outlander Chrome is packed with new stylish and attractive features which enhance its sporty and fashionable looks.  The recently concluded Delhi Couture Week (July 22-25, 2011) witnessed an exclusive Outlander enclosure and a fleet of Outlanders ferrying models and celebrities to the venue.

Meco Motorsport is set to launch a rally school initiative with JK Tyres. The announcement was made by Mr Akbar Ebrahim, President, MECO Motorsports and Mr Hari Singh, Manager Motorsports, JK Tyre & Industries Limited, on the sidelines of the recently concluded Round 1 of the 14th JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship 2011.
