Tata Motors has shelved plans of the diesel variant for the Nano small car. This comes as a shocker as the vehicle was highly anticipated by many people but the company claims the shifting of customer preference to petrol cars as one of the reasons for this decision.

The Honda Amaze has been in the Indian market for a year now and up till now the compact sedan has done really well for the Japanese market by selling in big numbers. A big chunk of the car’s success can be put down to the fact that it was Honda India’s first offering to come with a highly efficient diesel engine.
Land Rover has lifted covers off the much anticipated Discovery Vision Concept, ahead of the 2014 New York Motor Show. The unveiling took place at an event on the deck of the USS Intrepid, which currently serves as the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, alongside a full-size model of the VSS Enterprise suborbital spacecraft. Revealed just a few hours after a sole image of the concept was leaked online, the Discovery Vision is a major part of the British manufacturer’s future strategy for its cars.
Chevrolet introduced the Z06 to the automotive world through the 2014 North American Auto Show in Detroit. Now, the first production car has been sold through an auction in Florida. The 2015 variant of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe was auctioned off for a whopping one million USD (approximately Rs 6 crore).
The Mercedes SLS AMG replacer, the AMG GT, is expected to be available from October and will mark its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. As per a blog, the German manufacturer will release official pictures of the new sportscar mid-September with the official bookings commencing on October 6, 2014.

Riding the diesel demand wave, Honda has managed to catapult itself to third place among the manufacturers in India. A report from the Financial Express says that on the back of the sales of the Amaze and the City, Honda has managed to sell 1.33 lakh units in the financial year 2013-2014 as compared to 71,182 units in the financial year 2012-2013.
The seven seater MPV, the Fiat Doblo has been caught doing rounds in Pune. Interesting thing is that the car was sans camouflage and was seen sporting a temporary registration number. However, this registration is not at all similar to the ones that Fiat usually uses, making us believe that the vehicle has been imported to India by some private individual.
Nissan made a bold move when it introduced the first-generation Murano back in the year 2003. Being one of the very first crossovers in the market during the time, the Murano was mainly known for its eccentric looks and a decent load of features. The second-generation model introduced in 2009 maintained a similar approach even as Nissan added new models like the Juke and the Rogue to its crossover range.
