German luxury car maker Audi considers India as one of its key markets in the all of the emerging markets and is planning to launch more cars as a part of its expansion plan. The company has had a great time last year and is currently the best-selling luxury brand in India.

While Datsun has already started producing the GO at the Renault-Nissan manufacturing facility in Chennai, the brand will soon put the car in the showrooms now that it has announced the launch date. The GO, in fact, is all set to be launched in a week’s time i.e. March 19, 2014.

Hyundai has launched the Xcent in India for Rs 4.66 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) with bookings of the car starting today. The range starts at Rs 4.66 lakh to Rs 6.47 lakh for the petrol variants and Rs 5.56 lakh to Rs 7.38 lakh for the diesel variants. The petrol Automatic variants range from Rs 6.29 lakh to Rs 7.19 lakh. The sedan made its world debut at the Delhi Auto Expo, last month, and is a stretched version of the Grand i10 hatchback.

It is an open secret that Tata Motors has steadily worked on its global icon - the Nano since its arrival back in 2008. The brand has put in a lot of effort to improve the model’s state of affairs in the small car space. Volkswagen first unveiled the e-Golf at the 2013 edition of the LA Auto Show. This all-electric version of the popular Golf hatchback has now been put on sale in the UK with on-road prices starting at £25,845 (Rs 26.19 lakh). Now it may seem too steep for a hatchback but for an EV, the pricing seems to be on par with the competition.

British luxury car maker Bentley is contemplating two new cars, an entry-level Bentley and the second would be the most expensive car in its lineup. The emphasis, though, is more on the smaller sedan which could hit the markets by 2019. This car will follow the launch of Bentley’s SUV which is slated to hit the markets by 2016.

Jaguar’s entry-level four-door luxury saloon, the XF, was spied testing in a disguised avatar in Pune. The pictures suggest that the British manufacturer has made a few changes to the exteriors of the car. The Jaguar XF is due for a replacement since it has completed more than five years now- a lot of time for any luxury car to be replaced.
