Audi delivered 1611 cars in India between January to March 2011. Sales for the first quarter exceeded 50% of the total number of cars sold last year. Sales figures for the month of March 2011 alone stood at 681 cars with a growth of 210%.

Audi India continued its sales growth in India with sales of 450 cars in February 2011 thereby crossing their earlier mark and registering a 79 %growth. The company has already launched two cars in the beginning of this quarter - the Audi R8 V10 and its flagship model, the A8L.

Audi India plans to launch 2 more new cars this year. Having already launched the R8 V10 and the A8L in the first quarter, the company has a lot more in stored. The A7 will be launched in the third quarter, while we will get to see the A6 in the fourth quarter of this year. Having already launched the A8L the company has started off on the right foot.

Audi India today announced the pricing for the A8L. Audi's very first offering this year will bear a price tag ranging from 89 lakhs - 1.27 crore. Audi India clocked sales of 480 units in January 2011, thereby increasing their growth by 57% as compared to the same period last year(306 units- Jan 2010). 2011 will see Audi India announcing many initiatives on product and network expansion.

Audi announced the opening of its new showroom in Jaipur. The Audi Jaipur showroom was inaugurated by Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, Dayanidhi Kasliwal, Director, Audi Jaipur and Aditya Kasliwal, Managing Director, Audi Jaipur.  "I am delighted to announce the opening of our new showroom in Jaipur - the capital of royalty and luxury. Audi registered a sale of 302 cars in September 2010, a 47% growth over its September 2009 sales (205 cars).  The company has sold 2178 cars from January – September 2010, recording a growth of 63 percent over the same period in 2009 (1333 cars, January – September 2009).

Audi, announced the opening of its new showroom in Mumbai. The Audi Mumbai West showroom was inaugurated by Andre Konsbruck, Executive Director Region Overseas, AUDI AG, Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India and Anand Rao, Managing Director, Audi Mumbai West. Also present on the occasion was leading actor, Bipasha Basu- owner of the Audi Q7.

Audi sold 1876 cars from January – August 2010 and has surpassed its last year’s annual sales of 1658 cars sold. The company has recorded a growth of 66 % over the same period in 2009 which was 1128 units. Audi India recorded sales of 250 cars in August 2010, a 46 % growth over August 2009 sales of 171 units.

Audi continued its exceptional performance in India this year. The company has recorded half-yearly sales of 1400 cars- the highest ever for Audi in India, a growth of 71%.
