Chevrolet has launched the new refreshed version of the Spark with added features for starting prices of Rs 3.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2012 Spark facelift looks more like a smaller version of the Beat and is better packaged to compete with the Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto K10.
The design changes to the new Spark include new headlamp design with clear lens cluster. The front grille is also new and gets chrome surrounds to add premium touch. The tail lamps are also tweaked and get clear lens console.
Changes to the interiors include dual-tone colours, double-DIN music system with USB and Bluetooth and new instrument cluster. The design changes have been made at the GM’s technical center in Bangalore, specifically for India.
The 2012 Spark facelift will be powered by the same 1.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 63bhp and 90Nm of torque. There are two LPG variants as well, with the top-end LT version costing Rs 3.99 lakh.
