BMW has just unveiled an ultra-rare edition for the 6 Series Coupe sold in Japan. Called the 640i Coupe M Performance Edition, this new model will go on sale starting June 12 but with a production run of just 10 units.
The 640i Coupe M Performance Edition comes in Alpine White which is the theme colour of BMW’s M division. In addition, the coupe gets 20-inches alloy wheels, carbon mirror covers and M Performance black kidney grille.
The sporty model also gets adaptive LED headlights as standard equipment. Inside, the cabin gets leather sports seats, an M Sport steering wheel and electric sunroof as standard.
The M Performance Edition borrows the standard 640i’s 3-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine that produces 320bhp of power and 450Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to the back wheels.
With a production run of just 10 units, it doesn’t take much to come to the conclusion that the 640i Coupe M Performance Edition will be reserved for Japanese buyers only.
