2019 Hyundai Elite i20 introduced in India

- Available in four variants – Era, Magna Plus, Sportz Plus and Asta (O).

Hyundai India has introduced the updated Elite i20 with a fresh set of features. The popular hatchback is available in four variants – Era, Magna Plus, Sportz Plus and Asta(O). The updated model continues to be powered by existing petrol and diesel engine options.

Hyundai now offers rear parking sensors in the base Era variant of the Elite i20 along with other standard safety features in the form of ABS with EBD, driver and passenger airbags, central locking, smart pedal and more. The vehicle also gets eco coating technology.

The new Magna Plus variant now gets front fog lamps, remote keyless entry and headlamps escort function. The new Elite i20 further gets chrome grille in Magna Plus and above variants, along with LED DRLs near the fog lamps. The trim additionally gets a sunglass holder, Bluetooth audio, map lamps, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls with an iblue audio remote app.

The Sportz Plus variant of the 2019 Elite i20 is offered with a CVT option in petrol guise. The variant is offered with 15-inch gunmetal alloys along with spare tyre - 185/70 R14. In terms of features, the Sportz Plus variant gets a rear parking camera with AVN display, micro antennae with GPS and armrest sliding function. Hyundai now offers a 17.77cms touchscreen AVN with IPS display, voice recognition button, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. Additionally, the variant offers Arkamys sound mood, tilt and telescopic steering and a front USB charger.

The top spec Asta(O) variant of the Elite i20 is now available with a wireless charger. The petrol version gets a 1.2-litre engine that produces 82bhp of power at 6000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The petrol version is available in manual and automatic options. The diesel variant, on the other hand, is limited to a manual transmission which is mated to a 1.4-litre engine that produces 89bhp of power at 4000rpm and 220Nm of torque at 1,500rpm.
