2014 Skoda Superb facelift spied in India, launch soon

Within months of its global debut the new Skoda Superb facelift has been spied testing in India. The test mule with masked logo was spotted somewhere in Maharashtra and this updated version has more than few changes to both the exteriors and interiors. This facelifted model is expected to debut around Diwali after the launch of the all-new Skoda Octavia.

On the front, the 2014 Superb gets a new front grille, logo and revisions up to the A-Pillar. The new logo and grille are similar to the one on the 2013 Octavia. The front bumper has been changed and now features a honeycomb design.  The side profile remains the same but the Superb now has a revised design for the alloy-wheels. The rear also looks a lot better with angular lines and syncs well with the overall design.

The spy pictures do not reveal the details of the interiors, but they are expected to be in lines with the international model. The rear seats should get electronic adjustments  and the overall trim will be lot more premium.

The engine lineup for India is expected to remain the same - the 1.8-litre TSI petrol, 3.6-litre V6 petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel. Skoda may also introduce two new colours to the India lineup - Moon White and Metal Grey. At the time of the launch, the new Skoda Superb facelift will be a notch more expensive than the current model with additional features to compete with the VW Passat, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and others.
