This spunky 5-seater has optional 7 seats to make sure everyone can enjoy the ride.

Mum-friendly features include a 'thermo box' that keeps your child's drinks and snacks hot or cool, auto air con to keep everyone comfy, privacy glass (handy for emergency nappy changes), fold-down tailgate boot so you can more easily put the pram in and slide it into the boot, sunnies holder, door bottle holder, and tissue box holder for snotty noses.

Other nifty features include the smart key function (the car unlocks if you just touch the door handle and can even then start the engine without a key when it senses your keychain), leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth, paddle gear shifts on the steering wheel on automatic models (they let you do quick gear changes instead of waiting for the auto transmission to kick into the next gear), 18-inch alloy wheels, and auto headlights and windscreen wipers.

Exterior Great design, looks like beast, the front grill, key less operation, majestic feeling

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great comfort, good space, the power seats, the music system.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good pick up, noiseless engine, fuel economy is 6-7 kmpl in city and  9-10 kmpl on highway. Considering it is a petrol vehicle, this doesn't go down very well on the pocket, especially if you are driving in the city.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellect ride, no rolling even at 120-140 kmph on uneven roads. nice suspension, strong AC, child lock.

Final Words Outlander is vehicle only for those who truly value class status. On road the vehicle gets all respects from smaller vehicles. One may refrain from buying it as it is a petrol vehicle with poor average compared to diesel vehicles but then they will be missing out on the benefits of a petrol engine. On a traffic signal, a Fortunner was standing beside my vehicle and when the lights turned green, the outlander beats it hands down in shooting ahead. The boot space is really huge and is capable of taking 2 more seats if required. For a family of 5, this is a perfect getaway vehicle.

Areas of improvement Mileage. No other words. If Mitsubishi needs to stay in India for long, it has to do some refining. The Outlander and lancer haven't picked up market becouse of the fuel efficiency.

      Exterior NA.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) GOOD. THE REAR SEATS REQUIRE A LITTLE MORE COMFORT. THE SOUND SYSTEM, QUIET ENGINE AND ELECTRONIC FEATURES ADD A LOT OF COMFORT.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox FUEL PUMP STALLS. ONCE I WAS IN ALIBAGH ON A HOLIDAY AND THE CAR JUST DID NOT START AFTER HOURS OF EFFORT. LUCKILIY THE NEXT MORNING, BY SOME MIRACLE, IT STARTED AND I COULD REACH MUMBAI. GAVE ME A SCARE. OVERALL, IT IS STILL A GOOD CAR, BUT IF YOU ARE GOING OUT OF STATION, PLEASE BE CARFELL. THE COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH SERVICE STATIONS OUTSIDE THE METROS. NEAR ALIBAGH, THE NEAREST WAS ONLY IF I CAME BACK TO THE CITY IN MUMBAI.

Ride Quality & Handling GOOD HANDLING ABILITY. BUT FUEL EFFICIENY IS QUITE LOW COMPARED TO THE GERMAN CARS. TURNING RADIUS IS ALSO GOOD. SUPERB BRAKING ABILITY.

Final Words THE SPARES ARE A HUGE PROBLEM. THE FUEL PUMP & BATTERY IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. MY CAR HAS BEEN STALLED THRICE IN ABOUT SIZ MONTHS. THE LATEST IS THAT I AM WAITING FOR A WEEK FOR GETTING THE FUEL PUMP AS THE COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE THIS WITH THEM. SERVICE ISSUES BEWARE.

      Areas of improvement NA.

Good handling and quiet engineSpares are a big problem
