Exterior Simple, Nice and Elegant and oozing of silent agression.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) AMple for 4 adults or 2 Adults and 2 Kids.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox When I got my Lancer (1998 model) I hated the owner for killing this car (For lack of maintenance - That guy dint deserve a lancer). I got it at a good price. Had the car tuned properly and now I get a 20 Km/pl on highways without AC and 17 with AC as against 10-12.

GearBox Is amazingly smooth and doesnt let down. 0-100 in about 8-9 seconds is pretty good for a Family Sedan. Not called the king of Road for nothing.

Ride Quality & Handling NA.

Final Words As long as you have a good mechanic (need not be always an authorized showroom read as "out to rip you") who knows cars,engines and stuff nothing to worry. I am happy with my buy since I had tried other cars like the Honda City, Accord, Corolla, Accent, Fiesta and a lot of other cars. I found this car to be value for money, owner's pride, Neighbours Envy :). Good stuff.

Great Car with not the best pick up but great engine performance.

Exterior Great Solid Body Car with Good Quality Metal and Outlook.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good Interiors, not fancy but all needed features are there in car.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great Performance, Engine can run 8 Lacs KM without any trouble. You will never get tired of driving this car.

Ride Quality & Handling Awesome Ride Pleasure. You will have full control over car even at 140 KMPH Speed on highways. Once you have gotten car over 80 KMPH then this car is unbeatable in terms of stability then other modern cars. Obviously don't compare lancer now with BMW or AUDI.

Final Words Good car and best value for money. Very Low Maintance expenditure than other cars. Spare parts are even cheaper than Maruti Swift.

Areas of improvement Pick up should be improved. However, the production of this car has been stopped. I would like to inform that there are thousands of Lancer lovers waiting for an upgraded version. This car will defiinatly sell like hot cakes if new version can come in market.
Low Maintainance Expenditure, Good Average, Amazingly Spacious, Great Driving Pleasure and comfort,Pick Up low than other turbo engine cars

A trustworthy companion

Just fell in love the first time I saw the car. Every day after I park my car I'll stop and look at the car and appreciate it looks. Despite being older than current gen cars, the car has held up quite impressively. The ride quality is excellent, i have driven close to 2 lakh km and have no complaints. I'll recommend mistubishi brand to anyone as I can vouch for the brilliant engineering behind those cars.

GRT car.Bought a slxi petrol 2000 model in jan2004.It had done only 10000kms.drove throught india .

Exterior is fine but can be improved like the front grill, head lamps,and most important side beeding which now comes in most of the cars.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Ok! for the price. if the seating can be made a little higher it would be great.difficult for old people to enter and exit due to very low seating.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox is non problamatic,very smooth engine and gives about about 10 kmpl in town.make sure u change oil and oil filter every 3000-4000 kms for an engine life of over3lakh kms.

Ride Quality & Handling is very good and i have covered a distance of 7000kms with friends to ladakh via nagpur,delhi,chandigarh,simla,kulu manali and on return via kargil,srinagar,jammu.

Final Words are Now iam looking 4 a diesel version as my 2nd car.

Areas of improvement ALL IS WELLl .It was difficult for me to find tyres of orignal size. It took me time to search all over and i would request you to contact the manufacturers for supply to the retailers.

Highly overpriced and overweight car

Exterior

The exterior truly is good and makes you stand out in the crowd.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Interiors are fine but when you compare them with the latest models like Hyundai I 20 (though not a sedan but more powerful than lancer), Chevrolet Aveo, Verna and Ford Fiesta you find this care too distasteful to buy.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Power is way below than the competition in the market. Even the 1400 cc I20 is more powerful than this huge 2000cc model leave alone the 1500 and 1600cc segment cars which are way too pwereful than lancer.

Final Words

I didnt like this model at all considering the huge hole it makes in the buyer's pocket while offering the customer next to nothing in terms of power and looks. I would personally go for the better sedans like Maruti SX4 or fiesta or verna which are more powerful and better in looks. However these are purely my opinions as a price and power sensitive consumer when it comes to cars.
