WagonR with its 1061cc low friction engine does not only run , but always fly high with its super power of 64bhp@6200rpm and faster acceleration. Its smooth pick up has made this car more popular than other cars in this category.

Its on board computer of 16 bit capacity always keeps an eyes on the performance of the engine.

Its engine configuration of 4 valves per cylinder capacity keeps its fuel consumption lower than other cars.

Its Dual Distributionless Digital Ignition (DDLI) gives better start and ideal power distribution. At the same time its mileage of 14.15 kmpl and other features make it more reliable car to the buyer.

This car is all rounder in all catagery

The most comfortable car since i have changed so many cars. I had a Lancer too, It was also comfortable, then I took a wagon R which made me realize the value of the car. Milage, City traffic driving, even my family loves to drive my car. The service of Maruti is also un matched. On highway to pondicherry it was so comfortable that the trip was not tiring for me and the co passenger as well. Great car and the only car for Indian roads and especially for Chennai's undiceplined traffic you have your control in your hands with the WAGON-R...

GOOD STYLE AND ECONOMY OFCOURSENOTHING TO BEAT MY WAGON R, BEST IN PRICE, CLASS & ECONOMY

At first, you may tend to think this vehicle is a mere dabba looking from outside. You will realise that this is a wonderful car, which is very easy to maneuver and absolute pleasure for driving as soon as you drive it for let's say 20-30 km.

Great value for money : Hardly needs any maintenance, Very good mileage on highways a consistent 19-20kmpl and reasonable 14-15kmpl in bangalore's start stop traffic with intermittent a/c

effortless driving : Very good thigh support. Great manueauverability even at high speeds despite being a tallboy, no signs of any kind of tiredness/ discomfort even after 10 hours of driving

Comfort : very roomy interior, i bet you donot get so much space to move your arms, High head room. can seat 4 adults and a kid comfortably. Lots of space for small items, especially the door pouch and the rack below steering

Very roomy... lots of inside space, Powerful Engine, Good mileage, Effortless driving, great comfortScope for improvement in interiors

LOOKS: I found her quite decent in looks. Specially the orange swept back headlamps, new Tail lamp Design, Roof rails that add a sporty look, and a high mounted tail lamp. All these combined together make the WagonR look much attractive than its older version. The upholstry used is quite decent. The instrument cluster is "readable" and not at all confusing.

as well. Its 16 valve 1061cc engine delivers enough power that can conveniently carry 5 fully grown people at a very decent speed. In these 12 months, NOT EVEN ONCE have i noticed that she is unable to carry heavy loads. Shifting into the right gear at the right time will deliver a flow of uninterrupted power. Its only when all 5 seats are occupied and then if u switch on the A/C, u will feel a slight drop in power..a slightly draggy feel. But the engine is absolutely noiseless. Trust me. U will enjoy the ride  However on Petrol, the engine does rev up a bit and its noticeable. Pickup is good.

This robust tank is strong enough to resist the impact of a collision. Backed by genuine Maruti Suzuki technology, the fitment is covered by a complete vehicle warranty. Petrol (35 litres).. Pretty good, isnt it..?

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Engine starts at the first try every morning. No startup problems till now. The WagonR DUO can reach a speed of 100 kmph(and more) without much efforts even when running on LPG mode. She is easy to manouver through zig zag steep climbs, usually referred to as "ghat" in Marathi. An efficient Power steering is one of the best features. I also liked the suspension, which maintains the road to tyre contact and gives a perfect balance at any speed. The headlights are also very powerful offering clear sight for a pretty long distance, which makes driving at night a bit more comfortable. The Car is spatious. Lots of room for the back seaters as well. Back seats are foldable for more storage space. Lots of pockets, hooks and holders and storage places to keep magazines, bottles and personal stuff. Central door locking system wipes off the possibility of any door being left open(provided the windows also are closed) Dashboard does NOT make a rattling sound while driving over bad roads. A/C is quite powerful.

Note: Not even a single breakdown till date.

All in all, its a perfect family car. I got what i paid for. She is a real value for money. No doubt about that. I hope this review helps you in making a good choice. Will come up with a new review and a new experience (hopefully a positive one), in a few months. Till then, wish you all the best. Thanks

Wagon R, which is Japan's Mr. Wagaon is just the best one in its class..

Steady. Easy to drive. Good for cities. Ideal for a family of 4 (with a kid).

      Sufficient top speed. Great pickup..

      • Better resale value.
      • Cheaper cost of spares.
      • Bigger service network than Hyundai.
      • Slightly more fuel efficient. Although now Santro has new eRLX engine which is suppose to have improved mileage.
      • Better Engine and electronic power steering.
      • Cheaper.
      • Option for Airbags (only available in the top of the line model).
      • Slightly more leg space and better comfort for tall people.
      • The seats can be dropped completed to create a bed or even a double bed. Useful while traveling and someone can sleep.
      Good fuel economyStyle

I have been using the Wagon R for the past 3 years.

      My Bits:

Positives - Nothing can beat the space inside the wagonr. Its a MUV and lives to the reputation. I have used this for carrying all sorts of things. I literally used it to shift my house (small items only) and it was fun. The slim design that it has, makes it very convinient to take it to any narrow lanes and if you find a small corner, you can still park without getting screams from road users.

Mileage - I used to get 12-13Km/Ltr, haven't checked recently. The engine is good enough to take you to 60km/hr within 6 seconds ( a little growl under the hood).

View - I had an Indica earlier and the first time I sat in the wagonr, I was blown with the view the car had to offer. I could see the road in front, I was sitting higher compared to the Indica. The view you get from the WagonR is very good. Something I will say is one of the best things of this car. ( Getting the new wagonr mirrors gives you more rear view of traffic.)

Interior Space - I have the old model, so when you fold the second row seats, you get enough space to keep a AC, a Washing machine. I hope you understand what I mean. Its a mini tempo... nothing can beat the space available.

Driving - Driving this car is fun in city with good dimensions to cut quickly across traffic. It makes life easy if you know you can cut when and where required. Its a nice feeling to use this like a bike. Compact outer dimensions make it easier to judge the proportions of the car while you reverse, cut, park. ( Having a good set of tyres help a lot.) AC is pretty decent, upto 2 levels you dont find any much strain on the engine. On the 3rd level is where you feel the need to push harder.

      Negatives:

Interior Plastic - The quality of interior plastics is quite bad. The Door lock Buttons next to the window are of so tiny that you need to be careful with them. Have broken a few, but who cares? it costs just 5 bucks! The space between the front two seats is minimal. If well built people are sitting in the drivers seat and the passangers seat, you might find each other rubbing shoulders often.

Gear Level - The gear level is so long. You might wonder what these guys did with the design to make it so long. The gear lever locks into gears easily. You will find that there is good amount of play in the lever once the car has driven few thousands on the odo.

Tyres - The tyres are slim and flimsy, you need better tyres if you want a better feel and drive. On full load, you feel the brakes lacking the confidence, partly because of shoddy tyres.

Steering - The steering is very very light. It lacks wieght and you need to handle and get used to the steering style.

Overall this is a great car to own. You can get the car serviced for a very nominal cost. ( Less than the cost of a Branded shirt.) Fuel economy is decent for the engine and the size the car offers. If you are looking for a family car and have kids, they will enjoy the car more than you!

Best thing about the rear seats, If you have a driver just recline the back seat to have a nap. I dont think any other car rear seat reclines so much to give you this kind of comfort.

It has got good interiors. Its a sober kind of car which is specially comfortable for tall person. It has got an automatic transmission version also easy to drive for women. Its driving is very smooth and fuel efficiency is good. The newer version is available with LPG. It has got a powerful engine and its quite spacious. it is a value for money but its its cost is reduced a bit then it would be the best vaule for money car for a middle class family of India. Its shape is very attractiveOverall, its a good car.

I have made 4 round trips of 1500 K ms, and realy enjoyed driving. All passengers liked the space, the legroom, and the comfort. The car has a very good suspension, and handles very nicely. There is no fatigue enve if one drives for 4 hours at a stretch

In my 4 years of ownership I had absolutely no breakdown of any kind. Of course I had the car maintained regularly. What's more, Maruti Suzuki even gave me a fifth year guarantee. This is a tribute to their build quality.

I regularly drive in congested areas, and just do not get tired while driving. The clutch is very smooth, the torque range is fantastic, making shifting gears a rarity.

The strange thing is that worldwide, Suzuki is not a popular brand, but here in India, thanks to the vision of it's managing director, it is NO. 1! The reason is that the car has a very good build quality, very few problems, good after sales care, and a vast service network.

All in all, a really amazing vehicle.

It is a true value for money for middle level managers like us. I have a eight years old maruti 800, I want to buy the wagon R in the future.

The price of the wagon R and the fuel economy is what attracts me the most. It is a typical family car for the middle class. It is very evenly priced that does not pinch your pocket. The fuel economy is also very important.

The two things I am a bit spectic about are style and comfort.the get up of the car is not very sleek and attractive. The leg space inside is a bit cramped. That is what I believe.
