Pros:- Buying experience was nice, got quick delivery. Ride quality is very nice, comfortable, have done many round trips in a day from Delhi to Chandigarh with so much of ease. Looks is also pretty nice overall fit and finish is nicely balanced. Service experience is also very good till now. I have driven it 1.23lacs KM in 6.5 years and till now I have 3 changed 3 parts...1-battery at 52k km, 2-tyres at 76k km, 3-coolant pump at 84k km, thats all, not even single bolt has been installed except these 3. Outstanding mileage currently it is delivering 23kmpl in city with AC, on highway it delivers close to 27plus... Just one con-service labour seems bit high...

Exterior Stylish look, looks big. Big car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good, VFM. (Dashboard alone makes rattles sometimes)

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Just a single word. EXCELLENT. From 0000kms now I have crossed 1,00,000 kms single hand in just 3 yrs. 

Ride Quality & Handling DDI engine Rocks, Superb, Braking alone should be improved, sometimes skids from the road, when applied on high speed 120+ (Hope it will be natural) we should have abs facility.

Final Words DZIRE was my DESIRE. EXCELLENT SEDAN VALUE FOR MONEY. I am regularly servicing my car at ABT Adyar - Very low maintenance - They take personal care to each and every vehicle - Efficient people - Prompt service - Reasonable charges. I should give a mention here. Just because of their proper servicing i am confidently targetting for 2,00,000 kms. Maximum I have spent around 7k for my 1lac kms. Once i changed battrey and lower arm thats it. I have read so many reviews in carwale before deciding this car. Great reviews has helped me to select a proper car. Thanks to the carwale team for the reviews.

Areas of improvement NOTHING SPECIFIC. Will be great if ABS, Power windows and central locking are provided in this price tag.

I get mileage of 20 km during winter in the city driving and 21.5 kmpl on highways during winter

On full tank i drive more than 800 km without refueling. Pickup is very good. Brakes are good. Maruti must improve the quality of all rubber components in the car

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good, gear is light. should have been upgraded to 6 gears.

Final Words Check out other car like sunny, rapid, verna and feista etc prior to book for desire.

Areas of improvement Make it a hatch back just like shape of Audi Q 3 of 3995 mm lenght. it wil be a top city long hatchback.Maruti suzuki is going down n down in near future. They have to provide qualityin auto sector. Outsiders are producing far better than maruti. Maruti is selling its name which will get drowned in the see of outsider multinationals.

Maruti should add some extra to keep the markets. Its waiting has gone down for swift from 09 months to 01 month. and for desire the waiting has gone down to 03 to 04 months from roughly 10-12 months for the older version.

fuel efficiency, interior and front lamp nad rear lightbad looks. too small a sedan. Better to be in shape of hatchback with 3995 lenght.

Better mileage, quick acceleration, Nice interior.nearest workshops and affordable maintenance. Resale value, smooth driving experience that never get from any other diesel engines. I bought Ldi in April 2013 overall good experience smooth riding in town and highway got average of 24.8 overall in both. sometime sound in reverse gear shift.

Price is good, Riding is also superb, pickup is really nice, looks are also very nice and the main is its AC that always chilled in every temperature, maintenance is little high and servicing takes lots of time but overall car very good. My car has 4 yrs. old and running about 80000 kms still pickup, ac and engine and clutch is also excellent in condition.

I would say in one word.. Fantabulous! People can really experience the same in terms of designing, comfort, value for money, features, exterior. Value priced car for mid income segment
