Alto car I am using this car in 2010. It is good design. Car is fuel efficiency . Good mileage . My car is given me 20 kmpl . Car is 4 person in good to seating . Lxi model given in air conditioner . They are no music in lxi model. it dashboard grey in colour good looking.5 speed manual transmission in good to average . The engine is 796 cc good average. I am using in petrol model . The car good looking in Sliver colours . Service cost low . Servicing car 10000 km . They are low maintenance . Service station are available in samll town. But overall is really good value for money. It is medal class family car .

Good Value for For money

Exterior Looks good,looks like a small compact car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior space is much less.It is built for 5 pessangers but everyone has to adjust.Other cars in this segment like Cheverlet Spark has more space and every person can sit more comfortably than in alto.Overall length of Alto should be increase to provide more space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is not good with ac on.When you on the ac than you have to wait to get your car accelerated.Car suddenly goes slow when you on the ac.If you turn off the AC than there is sudden increase in the speed of the car.

This is the major drawback of ALTO. Also AC is not so powerfull. In summers you have to on it for more than 30 minutes, only than the temprature inside the car becomes normal.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is easy.You can easily take it to market and busy roads.

Final Words It is good value for money but some features like AC, internal spcae and power should be improved.

Excellent in city as well as highway.

Excellent to drive in city. Excellent handling. No trouble at all. Fuel economy is very good. AC is absolutely fine. Never gives a trouble. Can be driven easily in very very rush traffic. Power steering performs absolutely fantastic. In the highway also it runs in a quiet decent speed. It can be taken to a distance up to 500 km very easily.

Alto is best car for middle class people and it's worth money . This car gives the more mileage and it's is fuel efficient . The maintenance of is very less. But we cannot do long journey in this because of less comfort

My first car

The car was in good condition when we bought it. Learned my driving on it, that was an amazing experience. Loved to drive ever then. My place is in a hilly area, steep slopes but I always had a cool riding. Mileage is good. But I'm a smooth rider. The model is a bit Old fashioned, but worth the bill.

best car for small family

Exterior Not bad. Looks like a mini car. The car is well built and the doors have the typical heavy car door sound - they go THUNK when you shut them. The headlamps sport clear lenses.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Low boot space for tall persons, not a car for 5 persons only 4. AC is ok for the front seat only not for entire car. No compfort in side mirrors. Audio system provisions for back doors are not available. No digital clock. poor wheel base.

The dashboard is well laid out and is neat to look at - the instrument console (speedometer- fuel guage, temp guage, warning lights) is easily visible.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good for non AC only. fuel economy is very very good in alto The boot is not as spacious as some cars in this category - You do miss the power steering though, especially at low speeds or while parking. Handling is lackluster and ride choppy. Do not even think about going corner-carving with this car.

Ride Quality & Handling Easy There are quite a few cubbyholes and the dash sports a pop-top storage box too. The plastic quality is poor and door pockets are good for nothing.

Final Words Cheap and best low maintenance small family car.

Areas of improvement Air conditioning, Internal space, improve wheel base.
best fuel economy, cheap and best carlow wheel base and less pick up with a/c, low quality interior plastics

Compact and low maintenance hatch

If you are in the market for about 2 to 3 lakhs this car is for you. Iam using alto lxi since from 5yrs. Boot space is good. Best in fuel economy. 6200rpm with 47bhp. Very nice car for avg income people. This is very portable in cites. Maintaince is damm cheap when compared to other petrol cars. But when it comes on highway road this is not the good option. Go for some other better cars like swift etc.

Awesome and reliable car for small family..

Bought this car in May 2010 in Ecru Beige color. Awesome car for a small family. Four people Fit comfortably. Little uncomfortable for 5 adults. Engine performance is great. Driven around 56000kms. Although seems powerless sometimes with AC on. AC cooling is great. But I've to switch off AC sometimes while overtaking. Storage Space is good. Lot's of spaces for keeping small things. Within driver's reach. Overall it's a great car and Value for money.
