Exterior Exterior is supreme. It looks much more expensive as far as exterior is concerned. Agressive look, almost perfect for an SUV that looks sleek yet tough. Looks better than the Duster in my opinion. The front profile is very tough and the tapering headlamps make it look more modern. The rear profile is decent too, but not as good as the front look. The side profile is also praise worthy. The wheels of all variants are stylish and does justice to the cars stunning looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is the area where the Terrano lets you down. The interiors are very uninspiring. The design is not up to the mark. The quality of the materials feels cheap. Touch the power window switches and you get the evidence. There is scarcity of storage space. It dosent have many storage places or bottle holders. I always struggle to find a better place to keep my phone.

The ergonomics are also not up to the mark. Although the cabin is spacious, but in the front seats your knees will hit the door panel which containes the power window switches. The electronic controls for ORVMs is underneath the handbrake, although they can be used without raising the hand brake, but they could have done better. On higher variants the additional AC for the rear passengers can be intrusive if you want to seat 3 at the back. The leg room and head room is decent at the back. The seats are comfortable but the you will notice the missing armrest for the front seaters. The boot is massive and load lift isnt too high.

The car contains USB and bluetooth and has an option for a touchscreen MMI with SATNAV and it comes with a remote like gadget fitted on the steering wheel, which can act as a substitute for the missing controls for the Music system on the steering wheel. No seat height adjustment, and no reach adjustment for steering. Even the instrument panel is confusing, the reserve light for fuel turns on when the fuel level completely drops to 0.

Beacuse its an SUV at such a low price, they had to do the cost cutting and its evident in the interiors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Petrol engine feels a bit under powered for aggressive driving although for smooth driving its good enough. The diesel is better though. Fuel economy is not impressive for petrol (averaging 9kmpl), diesel might be better. Gearbox is notchy. 6 speed diesel gearbox is better than 5 speed petrol gearbox.

Ride Quality & Handling Driving is good because this car is very stable, body roll is very less and almost non existant at average speeds. Plus this car just glides over bumps without any problem. Performance is impressive. The steering is very hard but gives you good feeback.

Final Words Overall the car is good, but there is massive room for improvement.

Areas of improvement Interiors and features.

Good exterior styling and comfortInterior quality, style and ergonomics
