Final Words I had to get my car from Sai Auto Hyundai, Dahisar in  December 2014. As already heard before, I have been facing issues with their Customer Service.

I had raised two main issues with the car/ model with M/s Sai Auto within first week  of the car delivery. In spite of many requests directly or for that matter through their sales Team (Regular Emails, Phone calls), no one is even ready to accept the issues. Their Sales team  neither can address my Service issues nor they are able to arrange their technical/ Service Team for addressing my issues till date.

I had to seek help from other Hyundai Dealer for my First Free Service (1200 kM) and also to get my issues resolved. I am very Happy with them for their very good Service Gesture, eventhough I could not buy my car from them.

Assurance of Good Customer Service after Sales(??) as confirmed by Sai Auto Sales Team before booking is very big Joke.

One Line I can Say: Buy any Hyundai vehicle from M/s Sai Auto, Dahisar, Mumbai and do not expect anything more after sales.

Areas of improvement Clear Communication between Depts.

Much better than expected.Bit noisy at the begining

In Jan 2015 I had decided to sell of my Swift and buy a compact sedan. One thing that was clear to me was that I wanted a diesel automatic. The only choices back then were Skoda Rapid, VW Vento and Hyundai Verna. I had taken test drives of the Rapid and Vento and honestly wasn't interested in the Verna as it was a 4 speed auto compared to the dual clutch 7 speed on the Germans. I went ahead with booking the Rapid but the I don't know what snapped in me, as soon as I signed the booking for Rapid, I immediately drove to my nearest Hyundai showroom and checked out the Verna. Its now the time for revelations !! The dealer did not have an automatic for test drive and hence I had to take the manual. I know its not an apples to apples, but hey, that's what was made available. Immediately, the space on offer in the Verna compared to the German rivals and the fit and finish were apparent. Still I was hesitant as the Germans had DSG and ESP which were absent in the Korean. As I took the test drive, the Verna started growing upon me with the diesel engine refinement and cabin insulation. Also the suspension was softer that the Germans. After the test drive, I was in dilemma. The Rapid and the Verna were neck to neck although each offered a different option. It all boiled down to the after sales service and maintenance where clearly the Hyundai triumphed and "the head over heart" decision was made for me. I cancelled the Skoda booking and bought the Verna. Since then, I have clocked 60000+ kms till date on my Verna and each drive is more charming than the previous.

I have purchased a Verna diesel and face noise issue from Dashboard and rear seat. Inspite of showing it to Hyundai dealer (Mithila hyundai Mira road) none of them were able to figure out the source and one even told me to leave the car overnight so they could fix the issue which really makes me doubt the quality of hyundai service centers. Also suspension is very soft as compared to Honda and other cars in it's segment which makes the ride really jumpy. Lot of my friends who own Hyundai Verna fluidic have complaints of clutch plate issues after of a couple of years. Not good to have a 5 month old car with noises and jumpy rides. Learnt my lesson, none of my next purchases will be hyundai. Hyundai cars are rich in features but below average in quality and after sales. Not recommended.

Good looksBad mileage, low quality, dashboard noise.

My Verna has just done 42k and one fine morning I found my car being slugish, I was on my way to office and by time I was back home I would have done 25km. I could not reverse the car, the reverse ger was not geting engeaged, called up the service center and they claim that the clitch is burned and the gerat shaft was stuck on 3hd gear and now it requires full replacement which cost 3.5 lakhs , whic is absurd for a 3 year old car done less that 45k milage. This is secon verna the last one was a maunal transmission and I used it for 5 year and crosssed a lakh and did not give me any serious problem, I guess this is definitely a manifacturing defect.

Good looks and featureshigh maintenance cost and low ground clearance

SUMMARY: An eye-catcher, that bundles both diesel engine performance and efficiency with an automatic gearbox and comfortable seating posture, space, and features in a way that makes it a very, very easy-to-drive car. Enthusiasts will not like the relatively archaic 4-gear automatic. However, anyone who is not a car enthusiast and at the same time wants a fairly responsive car that gives you power when you need it will be more than satisfied with the package that the Hyundai Fluidic Verna offers. FULL REVIEW: When the Verna fluidic first came out, it was a groundbreaking evolution over the previous generation's Verna. Shape and design was completely overhauled, and it went from a car in the DZire segment to one above. Beautiful headlamps, front and rear, and curvy contour makes this car a beauty to look at, in the garage or on the road. Moving inside - with keyless entry, of course - the car is ahead of its time in terms of interiors, and holds up in 2018 without feeling overly outdated. Spaciously designed, 5 people can sit with relative comfort, as long as nobody in the back is a 6 footer. Plush leather upholstery, a superbly strong air conditioning unit - that doesn't seem to draw much power from the engine - and very comfortable seats make this car a pleasure to sit inside. The gearbox, an automatic 4 gear, is as usual, where the indian cars let us down. My 1997 Toyota Corolla in USA came with a 5 gear automatic, and I can't understand why on earth Hyundai chose a 4 speed. That being said, for a 4 speed, the city performance is punchy, and the gear ratios are well designed for city driving and even a good bit of overtaking. With just 4 speeds, it's not the best on the highway; also, the 4th gear is kind of short for the highway speeds, and the car, while relatively quick to get to triple digits, does not like to go far beyond 110. Long distance highway drivers, look away. The manual, version, with 6 gears, is far, far superior in this regard. But, for the city, the gearbox is fine, and changes to the optimal gear 90% of the time, if you're not driving like an enthusiast. End of day, the automatic is not an enthusiast vehicle. The steering is sufficiently responsive, but nothing to write home about. Not exactly clickable. But most drivers will find no problems with it. Servicing and maintenance with Hyundai is always straightforward, easy, and relatively inexpensive. With automatics in India, the clutch setup is the only thing that will get expensive, but so far, 50,000 km and it's all running well. So, the pros of the automatic fluidic diesel Verna: 1) Ticks all aesthetic boxes, inside and out 2) very comfortable 3) can be purchased in 2019 and will not feel too out of date 4) ease of service, sturdy workhorse 5) despite being automatic, mileage is great at 12-13 in city after 50000 km. 6) NRIs and other automatic-only drivers find this car a blessing at this price point. Cons: 1) automatic gearbox has only 4 gears 2) not suited for high speed highway drives 3) Bluetooth system can only connect to mobile when the car is at a standstill and the gear is in P. CONCLUSION: A stellar car for anybody who is not an enthusiast or a consistent long-distance highway driver at speeds above 110 km/h. Stylish, comfortable, quick, efficient, and great customer care from Hyundai. Definitely a car worth looking at, even more so as second hand purchase as late as 2019.
