Trust me I'm a Car freak and per day I sit in Car websites browing for hours even now after buying one :p anyways this is our third car and also now I drive a maruthi 800std 1999 model still I visited many other showrooms without fixing my mind with any particular brand like maruthi, and almost an year before I have started looking for a new car from Ritz,Swift,Punto till Etios liva. finally we decided to buy WagonR Vxi (ABS) as we got some Financial Crunch inspite we have not even seen the features of the car and taken a test drive so while travelling towards the maruthi showroom on the way we passed via KUN Hyundai where I suddenly took a 'U'Turn and just stepped in to look at Hyundai products which we really missed to check out in the past 1 year, It was a Garnet Red i10 at the entrance pulled my parents eyes but my thirst was against i20 Asta CRDI but it was twice the time over my actual money balance in my account :D hence I got to move along with my parents on to i10 magna 1.2 and got the demo and enquired about the cost and discount finally WagonR and i10 were having a difference of 30-40K max so my dad suggested me to take the powerful and a rigid one out of these two so we landed up at i10 sports which has ORVM indicators integrated music sys with USB, spoilers, kappa2 engine, defogger, rear wipes along with some descent discount of around 49k worth , so these were the few catchy points that made us to switch on to Hyundai i10 Sports Garnet Red.

Exterior Comparing with other cars i felt the exterior is very good with some premium shine for the cost that we pay , as said above I have purchased 1.2 Sports at 5,16000 after discount where as no other car with 1.2 litre engine with loads of feature fall in this segment at this price bracket.

    compare it with these below

    Figo Exi

    wagon R Vxi / Astar / Alto K10 /Zen estilo

    Ritz Lxi/Swift Lxi

    Etios liva

    EON/Santro GL

defenitely the obove would not give you a premium look and feel atleast with looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) A very much descent interiors with this segment with good dash board and rear adjustable head rests added some more interior asthetics to my car is what I felt , rear space is much descent almost similar to the bench mark car ( maruthi 800 ) obviously a descent amount of boot space as well 3 in the rear would be comfortable provided the occupants are not too tough to be placed in :P

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Here is the problem I drove the car in Hills for some 3 kms which really made me feel why i bought this one as I wasnt able to drive changing the gear out of 2nd with three passengers.

But also to highlight its the fastest in the segment and yes in highways it was easily crossing 100 without any strain but in hills it was horrible compared with my Maruthi 800 or my Old Fiat they were outperforming this i10 but not sure if this would get solved after running some kms and done with 2 services as its 20 days old and 400 kms done

Fuel Economy : i got only 10-11 Kmpl city+highway with full AC i check it 2wice but again this might improve after 2-3 services is what i heard

Ride Quality & Handling Brakes are too good , drive is too good , power steering is bit hard and would resemble like a Hydraulic power but actually its a electric power still it gave us a comfortable journey of 140 kms at a stretch

Final Words You can buy i10 only if your monthy drive is less than 500kms and defenitely opt a Ford Figo Titanium trim TDCI (DIESEL) if you are a daily driver and monthly 1000kms is your drive limit

Areas of improvement Mileage, Mileage ,Mileage kappa2 is good to see with its technology but it should return a good mileage of atleast 16-18 kmpl which I would not expect more for petrol cars but yes fords ecoboost petrol would give 20+ in future i.e. after launched in india so hyundai might also come up with such designs but defenitely they will not till 2015 after then they might look onto mechanical upgrades on petrol as the market is fluctuating with confused buyers either to go for diesel or a Petrol (along with CNG kit).

Final Verdict : If CNG is widely started using I would really fit that KIT onto my i10 purchasing from hyundai and hopefully it shouldnt be harming my engine life and also give out a good mileage of 20 to 25 kmpl then i dont mind spending 50K for that kit so better Petrol cars are safe than opting a diesel ones as the cost is often fluctuating rather raising even in some point both might cost us more only CNG should be the next alternative which can be adopted only by petrol running cars.

I10 is a best car provided you earn 40K+ per month else go for Ford Figo Diesel which would give you 20kmpl mileage

Give a Premium look and feel cute and descent for city traffic drivePoor Mileage !! so far done just 400kms and give only 11kmpl
