    DRIVING:

    Hi,

I bought an i10 around 4 months back and i am already repenting on my decesion on buying this car. I am giveing a very good rating to the dealer- trident , coz they are actually very good when it comes to customer service, it is a real pleasure dealing with those guys, ,but the car i10 sucks big time. There are some major design flaws with i10, which i came to realize after buying the car and that’s why i am writing this post, so as to make future buyers aware of the shortcomings of this car.

    1. The rear window design of this car is such that it affects the drivers back visibility, there are some blind spots where u won’t be able to see what is behind you,, even when they are standing righ tbehind you. The proof of this can be seen in any service station. most of the accidental i10 will have accidents near the rear door and this happens due to the blind sopt. you just won’t be able to make it out as to if someone or something is behind you.

    2. i recently met with a small accident. My car touched the car infront of me at a trafftic jam, the speed would have been maximum 5kmph. the impact was soo minor that i did not expect anything to happen, but i was wrong. the bonnet got a dent and there were a few scratches on the bumper, so i had thought only of repairing the bonnet. but my hopes were dashed when i went to the service station. on the inside, the coloumn that support the engine had broken off, because that is made of plastic and the cost was a cool Rs.6K, since it is made of plastic, i would be getting only 50% of the amount from the insurance. but this has also led me to question the safety of this car, if at 5kmph the car can get damaged so badly, how will it be able to save me in case of a major damage.. i am very sure now that this car is definitely not road worthy. it is so fragile that is scaringly unsafe.

    3. after my accident, when i inspected the car , i saw most of the parts were built of reinforced fiber parts, which means that they are costly, break easily and are only covered 50% under insurance.

So if anyone is plannig to buy this car, be ready to spend huge amount of money on repairs and that too often as this car will not be able to withstand even minor bumps that we receive almost everyday on the indian roads.

I would be taking up this in the consumer court as i would like to see for myself the road worthiness certificate that has been given to this car and the crash test results.

and my sincere advice to all future buyers,, LOOK UNDER THE HOOD before buying. plastics, fibers = COSTLY maintainance / repair and low safety.

    interiorsbad body design, unsafe, costly
