Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have driven 1.6 sx diesel around 13000 Kms and  in less than 6 months.Believe me the Engine performance is Awesome and I  enjoy driving it. In my view they are far excellent than any rival SUVs like Ecosport,Terrano,Duster.I have test Driven all the SUVs but CRETA is simply the SUV that satisfied my driving requirements. I dont feel like I am driving a diesel car,such is the acceleration.

Exterior To me Exterior looks good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors does have some premium look at this cost.

Areas of improvement According to me the major area of improvement should be the Suspensions.I had driven Chevrolet Spark before.I could easily say that Spark has a very good suspension system than that of CRETA. This car is purely for Highway smoother roads. My parents are mad on me for buying this car coz they are not feeling comfortable sitting in it.Instead they prefer Chevrolet Spark.

It is not able to counter even a small bump in the City roads and the whole car shakes rigourously This is not the car you are looking for if you are looking for Good Suspensions..Sometimes I felt that after investing 14 lakhs so amount on a car and u still cant get a smoother drive whereas car of about a 4 lakhs (spark) is better in suspensions.

I don’t know I should compare this car’s suspension with that of  Innova’s. Innova’s suspensions are the Best.So Hyundai should work on improving the suspensions.

I have taken this issue to Hyundai Service Centre Engineers. They say that this car has a large wheel base due to which we get a feeling of heavy shaking, Whereas innova has a smaller wheel base thereby reducing the jerks.

I am not totally convinced by the reply given.If you have a larger wheel base ..suspensions should be made to match the wheel base.May be I should have test driven it on the rough roads than on the smoother roads to understand its suspensions.

Final Words According to me this car is Excellent in all aspects Except the Suspensions. If you have test driven and felt happy about the suspensions, go for buying this.

Exterior VERY GOOD AMONG THE LATEST RELEASED MID SEGMENT COMPACT SUVS.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) GOOD ENOUGH WITH TWO COLOURS, BUT FOOT MATS ARE OF WORST KIND AND FLOOR MAT TOO OF WORST QUALITY, SUCH MATS SHOULD NOT BE USED IN HIGH END CARS.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox GOOD  ENGINE , FUEL ECONOMY IS GOOD BUT GEARS ARE WORST, THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE AFTER DRIVING FOR MORE THAN 13000 KMS ON HIGHWAYS & CITY.

Ride Quality & Handling GOOD BUT IT CAN BE STILL BETTER IF GEAR SHIFTING IS SLIIGHTLY IMPROVED, IT TAKES IMMEDIATE SPEED ON 2ND GEAR WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE, IT MAY BE A DEFECT HAS TO BE SET RIGHT BY THE HYNDAI TEAM.

Final Words GOOD CAR BUT , PLASTIC MATERIALS WITHOUT RAT GUARD PROTECTION IS A MATTER TO WORRY WHILE INVESTING FOR SUCH A HUGE PRICED VEHICLE & NON AVAILABILITY OF SPARES FOR WEEKS TOGATHER IS ANOTHER WORRY, MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN LEFT FOR A DISEL PIPE REPAIR STILL NOT OUT OF SERVICE STATION ALMOST A WEEK IS OVER.

Areas of improvement ALL PLASTIC PARTS & WIRES ARE TO BE GIVEN PROTECTION FOR RAT MENACE OR PUPPY BITING MOREFULLY DIESEL PIPE UNDER THE TANK HAS T BE IMMPROVED BY PROVIDING A GUARD FOR PROTECTION IT IS VERY DANGEROUSLY FITTED WITHOUT ANY PROTECTION FOR THE PLASTIC PIPE.

Poor pertol aveage in urban area in Creta petrol S model. Riding it in Delhi. It was purchased from Hans Hyundai Moti Nagar. Very good experience. Have driven 400 km till now. The claim was between 13-17 Km per km. Did not imagine it can be so bad. Let us see if improves after service, but it cannt improve so much I feel. I cann't understand if it can be car of the year and yet mileage is so bad. If we are so much concerned about carbon emission, mileage should be a primary parameter for selecting car of the year.

I have a Santro 13 years appx and is still running very well. Still Milege in it is about 12-13 kmpl in Santro.

Hyundai services are good. That is what attracted me to this.

Govt is discouraging diesel & hence I did not take it. So far disappointment. I will not be able to ride it regularly unless  Hyundai can do some miracle.

Buying experience of this car is very good. This car is very awesome and pickup is very great. Controlling of the Hyundai Creta is too good. Build quality is great and very strong car. Special thing in this car is hill control is good and tyre are very less slippery.all the will love it. Thanks to company for it made

Exterior Geat designing, fluidic designs very atractive, front look like santafe.  santafe is overpriced to buy for indians like me.  creta is going to be a giant killer of all other suv in this range.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Creta made marvellous interiors, space and comfort are exellent for a 6.3 feet people like me. plastics and leather are quality made. i am just compairing less than 15 lacs SUVs.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance are great, silky smooth 1.6 diesel engine with 128ps power. this is toomuch for indian roads.people knows who drove verna diesel. this engine is not noisy, 6 speed automatic in diesel is first in india. gears and clutch very smooth like 120.

Ride Quality & Handlling Very smooth handling,  no lag,  ride quality is superb especially in hill stations.

Final Words Simply superb.

Areas of improvement I think most parts are very nice beacuse it is less than 15 lacs SUV. need a 4 wheel drive.

Great style, good performance, silky smooth gear, good mileage. great price.Nothing bad for this pricing.

Creta is a beaatiful car. No one can deny it. It looks better than the one you see on pictures.

Engine is powerful and smooth. There is noise when you are driving at 20 to 40 kph. Due to our city traffic and road conditions, I drive in this speed range most of the time. After you cross 40 the car is very nice.

Ride Quality & Handling

Ride and handling is ok, but not great.

Final Words

It is a nice car if you like to own an SUV and have to use the same car for daily office commuting. 

Areas of improvement  

The quality of materials used are not top class. They should provide better ones for the price. Many features like speed sensing door lock are missing. GPS is not very useful as the maps does not have coverage like google maps. We will have to use google maps most of the time.

 

Perfect size for a city SUV with great designEngine noise at 20 to 40kph

Exterior Looks great . The 17" diamond cut wheels adds to the glamour.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, though would have liked leather seats as an option and a crusie control. The in built GPS map is not as good as google maps. The seats are comfortable with good lumbar support. The boot space is adequate and the ride quality is comfortable. Rear pasengers also have enough leg space despite me being a tall person (over 6 feet) and pushing the drivers seat back.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is a good city car . we just got back from a drive from Chennai to Valpari ( hill station - 5500 feet ) with a part of the drive being thru ghat roads and 40 hair pin bends. The engine needs to be nursed up and the pulling power decrease substancially when on 4th gear . We did the climb mostly on second gear despite being only three passengers and limited luggage. the engine maintains a constant temperature.

Ride Quality & Handling Over non tarred raods the ride is comfortable.  Drove in short spells at over 120 and the handling was adequate, though would have preferred a more powerful break. The car handles well in general and did not feel any discomfort when driving up and down thru the hair pin bends. the clutch needs to be fully depressed to engage the gear. The car pulls well on 2/3 rd gear but the pwer decreases substancially on 4th . Perhaps this is a set up use for city driving . Liked the feature where the displays dispalys the gear to be engaged when accelerating.

Final Words Great city car with limited off road features. Looks rugged so add the the 'macho"  element.

Comfortable sitting position and the drive is very smooth. I drove that car for 250kms so far and noticed problem with the audio system. Good car but Touch screen audio system not working from day 1. I took the car to service center and asked for replacement. The service center technician observed that when the car is moving the volume goes to as low as 4 and comes back to normal by itself randomly. But this is not happening when the car is not moving. They yet to change the system. The awful thing is that technicians also doesn’t have proper knowledge. First they thought it might be some settings. But there is nothing to do with settings.  They tried factory reset but still it did not work.

I'll update as soon as they confirm anything about the solution. It is very surprising that it has a fault right from the factory. And its been delivered to the customer.

Comfortable sitting position and the drive is very smooth.Good car but Touch screen audio system not working from day 1.

Exterior Well, you feel like you are driving a luxury car. Excellent design and looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All provisions provided on the vehicle are excellent. No complaints so far. Great interior.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am not a rash driver. Even if I am not freeway, I never try to cross 100. However, the smoothness, silence inside the vehicle. its just a beauty.

Final Words I will recommend this vehicle for anyone. It is an excellent product from Hyundai. The price for the design, I am very happy.

Areas of improvement Customized Foglamp fitting is a big flop on this car. The switch for the foglamps are provided in a very awkward position. I wasted my money by adding this. I sincerly advise Hyundai if they are reading this review to consider better design to allow a better location for the switch. If you are buying this car, and looking for adding fog lamps. be very careful. I recommend, not to waste your money. Very poor design.
