Exterior

It is an excellent Car with good aerodynamics. I went with my family to Mysore and touched 120Km/Hr. Since the weather is good I did not use the A/C. My estimated fuel consumption was 19-20.3.

Very spacious for a small family, Good leg room for driver,co-driver, &  rear seats.

Smooth Engine; Smooth gear box, easy shifting of gears.

 

Ride Quality & Handling

Excellent performance. I took my new car to Mysore for Holiday. Managed to touch 120km in state highway SH-17. The ABS Breaking system was excellent, no drag in high speeds, very very stable. Very smooth engine. Important note is that like new Honda city the Jazz does not Hits the speed breakers. I did not turn on the A/C due to good weather. Manage to get fuel consumption 19.3-20.2.

 

Final Words

Excellent car not just because I have one; If you test drive you will surely like it.

 

Areas of improvement  

None. With Aux Mode manage to play my I-Pod. I bought the aux cable from staples;price of the cable is 150/-rs. The price of the car is quit high as compare to other brands of same segemnet.  End words for the price youpay you get the best quality car with every thing fitted like alloywheels, ABS, centrelocking ect.

ARYA Honda people are BIG LIARS. They promise you something & don’t deliver anything. They made me cancel the ETIOS which I had booked earlier & gave me an offer for JAZZ Select at 6,78,000/- with Bank finance. After canceling the ETIOS & promising me a better deal than Apex honda where the Jazz was available at that point of time, I went to Arya Honda with the required documents & booking amount to close the deal after which they tell me that there is no Jazz available.

Since it is not available at that discounted price anywhere I am left with nothing but a feeling that I have been cheated & betrayed by a company with good reputation such as HONDA.

 

It was Arya honda's duty to check the stock before committing to the customer who trusted them. I sincerely hope no one has to face such a HORRIBLE situation in blind faith. The sales person who is responsible for this mess is Mr. Ravi kumar. My questions to him & the manager Mr. Girish regarding their commitment was left unanswered with frivolous excuses. Their attitude was totally indifferent as if they have not committed any mistake. Whats worse is that there is no co-ordination between the management & the sales people about the offer .

 My Budget was maximum Rs. 7,00,000. After which they were trying to pacify me to buy their Jazz 2009 demo car, another higher end Jazz & the Honda city which were beyond my budget.

 

Any apology from Honda will do me no good since I have lost out on a very good deal. Honda makes good driving machines but I guess the HUMAN touch is missing. In future Honda should be very careful before appointing any dealer on their behalf since their reputation is at stake & this Dealer does not care a damn about the customer.

Thank god i did not wait for this car like a fool. The i20 Asta beats this car real well. The only thing i20 lacks is 10 BHP lesser than the Honda (like i am going racing on the highway). 8 lahk odd would be the top end on road price!!! For what??? under powerwed, minimum spaced, average looking budget car???????

GUYS (Honda) take another 2 months time and come back with something reasonable....  Atleast you guys did not price the CRV like the Q7, X5 or Cayenne.. somebody was wise then.....

there are lot of hate messages being written about the jazz. after reading all the messages its clear that people hate this car not because its a bad car but most of them cant afford it. its sad to know that a car is rated in india according to its price tag. i bought my jazz after test driving most of the hatchbacks available in india. since i had owned a fiat palio 1.6 earlier and have a skoda octavia now my initial choices were fiat punto and fabia, honda jazz wasnt in my list. the first car i tested was the punto which i found to be really good ( especially the ride quality and the exterior style ). since i was lookin for a hatch with good interior space which the punto doesnt have i decide not to buy the punto. next was the i 20, which i think is one of the better cars from the hyundai stalble. but not being a hyundai fan i skipped that one too. next was the fabia. since i have an octavia i know how pathetic the skoda sales and servie department is. there was no one to greet me when i entered the showroom and worse was that they were not willing to give me a test drive initially. much has been written and said about this car and hence my expectations were very hight about the car. after test driving i found that the car doest live up to the hype. though the interior quality is top class, the engine was too noisy and the ride quality was also not good.only option now left was to test the jazz. just one drive in the car i just fell in love with it. it had everything i wanted space, style, a gem of an engine. i was also impressed with the honda staff. for me its not the price that decides whether the car is good or bad its the car itself. just look at the awards and recognitions this car has got. Great aerodynamic design, typical japenese cone shaped nose, Love the side profile the most, looks longer than it actually is(less than polo). Superb tail lamps.

 Interiors are thoughtful, ergonomic, classy. Fit and finsh not upto mark for me. Space wise i really dont have to say anything it outclasses most of the midsized sedans, forget the hatchbacks they dont even come close to it. Seats are adequate not the most comfortable though. But magic seats!! ohh boy!! it takes the practicality levels to a different level all together.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Great flexible engine. Good at both sedate city roads driving, or take the free reving engine for a track day it wont dissapoint you one bit!! You may feel avaibility of torque is not adequate at times but once you get a hang of how to use the engine potential and gear ratios its a great car. Sleek gear box add all the more fun.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Not seen a better 'Fine balance' between ride and handling at this price point. Preicise Handling, Great steering feedback, Well weighted steering not too light nor too heavy. Adequate braking power and Pretty good ride quality, takes poth-holes or rough terrain in a typically Hondas pecuiliar way. you want a better ride and handling balance than this you may buy a Laura or even better a BMW please.

Final Words

If you want a car that can take you to office everyday, this is the car(good ride,good manuverability, good fuel efficiency). If you want a car to go for  weekend or outsattion trips with family, this is the car for you(ample space for passengers, big boot and magic seats!! carry your whole world with you) If you want to go for a fast highway Dash then believe me few hatchbacks can even come near the road manners of this car, polo may be. its been 6000kms with this car for me, Every morning i just cant stop loving the interiors of the car, Ergonomic and thoughtful interiors. Fit and finish is not bad but i feel can be improved.

All in all an Excellent ALL ROUNDER.

 Couple of things 1st the obvious is the torque, and 2nd Interior fit and finish.

 

 

Its best in class at fundamentals of a car like engine, ride, handling, aerodynamics, Space, which mTorque is not on tap always, you need to work with gears for enthusiastic style of driving.

 Design of the Jazz is futuristic and it wont age for the next 4-5years, vouch for it. designed to make the visibility of the car and minimise blind curves.the use of glass makes the car a 'pictureque view' for the onlooker...

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 The interior is the place that makes the Jazz what it is- its a Sedan in the hood of a Hatchback. Once you are inside of the car, you will never like any other entry level Sedan in India + also a few so called preminum sedans. Its got everything that a car lover can ask for. Excellent Space due to its thoughtful 'function over form design', all the controls are asthetically placed and ever better is that all the functions required for a premium car are made available- steering mounted audio controls, intergrated music system, tonnes of storage, beautiful and extremely functional digital display on the dashboard. The best part of the car is that the back seat occupans (usually your kids and family) are very happy with the enorrmous space in the rear. this makes sure that the driver of the car (you) and the co-occupants (your family) have never been happier!! Once you start driving, the almost 'panoramic' view of the car will make you feel like you are sitting in a premium movie hall like PVR...needless to say, the blind curves are almost non-existent due to this design aspect!!

while you start to turn on the ignition and drive, u will be reminded of an old refridgerator advt- yeh awaaz hi nahi kartha- the engine is so silent that you will double check ur ignition key to make sure the engine is running. Few folks complain of lack of torque at the low end- i strogly feel that this is due to the lack of engine burp that a swift would produce. dont be cheated by it, the engine is working and will smoothly glide you at 3/4th gear even in peak traffic. some also say that the engine isnt sporty enough, thats NOT because the engine lacks response, but because of lack of the 'vibrations' passing into ur legs when u open the throttle (like in the swift) a god sent engine!!!

Fuel economy isnt thew best in class- about 13-14 in city and 16 on highways- more than what i need, even for a petrol car!

Gearbox is again 'Honda like'- very slick and responsive. Its almost as if it reads ur mind and goes to the position u want it to...smooth as silk.

Overall- its the best driving experience in the country!

 its true value for money - at 7L we get the space of a sedan, features better than a sedan and the premium feel that only a Honda can offer!! all your friends and 'well wishers' may advice you against buying the Jazz because for 7L + we could land ouerselves a more 'status worthy' sedan- hey, but this is all about how you feel from the inside than what you want others to feel when they see u drive a car!!

Areas of improvement  

waiting period- i went to bookk a Jazz in Oct-11 and was told that the waiting period is 8 months and that from April-12 the bookings will normalise. Today i called the showroom and was told that the waiting period is STILL 8 MONTHS!!........Honda, pls do something about this!!   

(if only the Thailand Honda factory hadnt had so many issues)

Exterior The looks are great even though there is not much of a differnce from the old one. the side mirrors are huge and stylish. tats what I liked the most about the exteriors.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The boot space is very spacious for a small car. I own a santro and basically it is nothing compared to it. the seats are well positioned. there is so much of leg room at the back even after reclining it all the way & since I'm tall the main concern was the space behind the driver's seat as I usually recline my seat all the way back.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is smooth, not noisy at all, the gear box is as smooth as the new honda city.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is as good as the city but not there yet. of course when compared to the new swift its any day better. the handling is really easy in the car.

Final Words The car is stylish yet sporty as it is powerfullt packed. The only thing that I didn't like about the car was the way in which the clutch was positioned. I found it to be discomforting as I could not place my foot properly. That's the only reason why I didn't opt for the car.

Areas of improvement The position of the clutch, they should put black n blue leather seats for all the variants. bluetooth connectivity.

Final Words I purchase honda jazz excellent milage, look like a sedan, this is mini inova, boot space is excellent, no engine sound, AC excellent, jazz anniversiry offer cash discount rs. 55000/ and i am in govt. job i got extra corporate discount 6500/-, chandigarh price 714,000/- discount is 61500/-, this price is very good, as compare to hundai i20, 70000/- more but honda diserve this, i am fully satisfied with honda jazz, value for money,and extra honda jazz kit is avilable for this particular model, this is alloy wheel and parcel tray, this is for only 10,780/- only actual cost of this is apporx. 30000/-, this excellent, jazz winning many awards worldwide. no regret to purchase jazz (jahaj), fully satisfied. i am find out car for more then 2 months but last conclusion is honda jazz is more useful car for me.
