Honda Civic [2010-2013] User Reviews

No car can compete this one!! This is my most favourite car which I would like to have!! In fact may be everyone like this.

My plan is to buy this car: the first ever car I want to buy by my own money... however, dont know when will do it.

I had sat in this car once and really the feeling which it trasferred to me was amazing: The looks, style, comforts, interiors, everything dam good.

I drove this car once and the pick up I have ever got in this car is so far the best. I feel this car is most valuable even in comparison to mercedes or BMW...

THe best part I like to see in this car is its digital speedometer with the bars rising as per your speed. The blue or white light gives very good effect in the car...

Really if anyone has lots of money to put in car; I would like to suggest them HONDA CIVIC!!!

Last but not the least I would request the people once to test drive this car if possible & get that feelings...

Exterior A very good looker. very futuristic.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are very futuristic. interior space is great with lots of storage space for knick knacks, huge door pockets. very good plastic quality too (much better than corolla's). Space is great due to long wheelsbase. once 6 footer behind another is not a prob. flat floor at the rear makes for comfortable seating of 3. It is decently equipped too unless one wishes to have features that hardly get used like sun roof and cruise control.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is great and very refined. hardly any noise at idle, though it has considerable lag below 3000rpm. its also very quick and stays planted at speeds in excess of 150kmph. Fuel economy is fantastic. the fuel indicator shows an avg of 11.8kmpl in city with ac running at moderate speeds. this figure is aided by good driving and using appropriate gears at different speeds on my part. gear shift is good.

 

Ride Quality & Handling There is a very nice mix ride and handling. steering could do with more feel but isn't as lifeless as honda city's. its great to hold and has a short diameter. driving position is good but visibility is poor due to high dash and thick pillars.

 

Final Words Overall its a brilliant package. should appeal to individuals and families alike. though slightly on the expensive side but its surely worth it. honda service quality and attitude is very good. its been my mate since a year and i love it to bits.

Exterior There is no car in the segment that can match the exhilarating exteriors of a civic.Corolla altis is a grandpas car and the design of volkswagon's jetta and skoda's laura are really boring. Civics exterior designs is completely  to the century and thats the reason why when we got toyotas or skodas showroom their executives speak more about civic than their own cars explaing it deficiencies.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Civic rear seating may a little stiff but its not a DRIVERS CAR.Its purely designed for youth and stylish people and not for those who prefer sitting on the back seat.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gear Box The ivtec engine in the civic is one of the most techinically sound engines and honda has proved it to the whole world. It has clearly set a new trend in the market with efficient and  responsible engines.The Gear box is set to be stiff yo make the car more sporty.

Ride Quality & Handling You may feel a little tired if your taking your civic for a long journery of 600 or more kms. The civics handling is pretty ok with a good turning radius and the steering is very very responsive.

Final Words Civic has proved dominance in the segment with an innovative design and the car is always worth for your money.

Areas of improvement The rear suspension can be improved.

Exterior Extremely sporty and stylish.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good, gets you cockpit like feeling, pretty ,much spacious.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is quite good, fuel economy is pretty good for 1.8L engine I get alomost 13.5-14 Kmpl within Pune city , on highways I regularly get 18-19 (with A/C on).

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality good if roads are good, but on a pot hole filled road the ride is pretty uncomfortable. On hilly stretches I found the road handling to be quite good

Final Words The only crib I have about Honda is not about the car, its a pretty good car, it is the Honda service which is a major area of concern. The average cost for servicing a new car comes anything between Rs. 4-6K, but the quality, reliability is worse than any road side garage. I did make several complaints to Honda siel but nothing much changed except few words of apologies came by. Before you buy any Honda product make sure you have a good service station (preferably non-Honda ) otherwise stick to Toyota, Marutis and Hyundais. Bad service can actually become headache, because all these service stations they want to make money out of selling spares which are pretty costly. I now understand why Honda has not gone anywhere in last decade or so. Somebody was telling me this bad quality service is consistent throughout India.

Areas of improvement Enforcing better standards of Service quality. at least learn something from Toyotas, Marutis how do they ensure certain minimium standard.

Exterior VERY GOOD IN LOOKS AND THE AERODYNAMIC SHAPE WITH THE FRONT GRILLE AND SMOKY HEADLAMPS LOOK REALLY GOOD!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) VERY SPACIOUS ON THE BACK SEAT AND COMFORTABLE TO DRIVE, BUT LACKS FEATURES FOR ITS PRICE SUCH AS, STEERING MOUNTED AUDIO CONTROLS, ELECTRICALLY ADJUSTABLE DRIVER SEAT, BLUETOOTH CONNCETIVITY.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox ENGINE IS A GOOD 1.8L WHICH GIVES REALLY GOOD PICK UP BUT LACKS ON POWER WHILE OVERTAKING ON HIGHWAY, GIVES VERY LESS AVERAGE IN THE CITY,HARDLY LIKE 5.4-6KM/L AND HIGHWAY ARND 12. GEARBOX NEEDS 6 SPEED AT AND QUICKER SHIFTS AS THE DELAYED SHIFTS ARE A BIG REASON FOR REDUCING FUEL ECONOMY. THE PADDLE SHIFT IS REALLY USEFUL FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS.

Ride Quality & Handling VERY SMOOTH CAR ESPECIALLY FOR CITY ROADS WITH SO MANYN POTHOLES..VERY GOOD SUSPENSION AND HAS A REALLY GOOD GRIP ON TYRES WHILE TURNING AT HIGH SPEEDS.

Final Words TOTALLY GO FOR IT IF YOUR WILLING TO SPEND ON THE PETROL BILLS!!

This is the best car for enthusiastic drivers, the one which is affordable also specially when you want your girl to be the most beautiful, Honda Civic is actually, Its the only car on India roads which has a look of a sports car, the way we see in movies of James Bond. I t has a good performance no doubt coz we are talking about Honda, but in that range they have given a beautiful car which a normal man use to see in movies. Now its like a normal person can also afford a car may be the kind which he has seen last night in movie ......

The Car is the best in its range.... it is the best value for money when compared with the other cars in its class like the Corolla of toyota. It can be compared to a Camry or Mondeo or Sonata.... It has better looks than all other carz now on road.

Civic is a dream of the youngsters and even oldies (young at heart) as u get the feel of riding on an elephant. The streamlined body and the rich feeling interiors have made the car a craze.... Thanks to Honda.

Performance wise also, the technology used by Honda cannot be compared. It gives a very smooth and jerk free drive. The Mileage is a bit low but enough for a car of that size. The only part where Honda has to work is on the ground clearence of its cars, especially in the INDIAN editions as there is no regulations on the number and height of speedbreakers here.
