Just took delivery of My New HONDA City S MT......liking the attention this car is getting

Hi friends, I know how everyone looks out for and likes a genuine review before finalising his car purchase...so hope mine fits in to a decent helpful category.

I was looking for outgoing ZX model because of the offers that the dealers are giving on these dated cars.....I first checked out EXi then GXi and after that saw this new City 2008 standing on raised platform..awesome!!!! stunned i was by  the beauty... a strange combination of BMW and Honda looks.

Me n my family didnt like the car interiors at first instance when we opened the door  ...as the interiors reminded us of Logan...the poor mans sedan. But somehow the airbags and other safety features plus the Honda reliability made me go for this car rather than ZX though this car is 1 lac costlier.(8.04 L +Ins 17 K+foot garnish 9.8 K+paint protection 3.3K =total 8.34 L) Regd still to be done though...

I am driving this car since last four days took delivery on 14.12.2008 and driven 300 KM. the first impressions are...

1. The car is frugal....city driving in Chandigarh is giving me 15 kmpl (the mileage is shown constantly on the dash).

2. The handling is superb and the shocks are nice ..car just eats  up potholes (though hey are very less of em in Chd.)

3. The car is getting good number of eye balls tracking it.....gives a nice feel. The looks are definately liked by all and sundry.

4. Engine is responsive and perky though i am yet to drive it above 85 Kmph as the dealer told me not go beyond 85 before 1000 kml.

5. The interiors particularly side panels are plasticky and the seats fabric is not that u expect from honda.

6. I am having probs with the Audio system...the radio is not top notch and the FM channels seems to get mixed up while driving past other cars or buildings...strange...honda people want me to come to show room to c wat can be done....The speaker are though good enough.

overall i m enjoin my decision to buy this car .....its bit pricey than other option like SX4, Dzire, Fiesta S but then the 70 K to 1 L u spend more is the price u pay for good resale and reliability of HONDA....plus if u buy a Dzire or SX4 u will be sitting with bidi smoking commoners who r there to buy or get serviced their 800 or alto...choice is urs..deluxe services of Honda or general bus ride of Maruti...
